  1. Why not trade Jenkins, Mench, and T-Bow for a starting pitcher like Kris Benson. Then we could turn around and sign Huff. I would much rather have Huff than Jenkins or Mench and feel Huff would be more versatile and productive, that makes more sense for the Brewers.
  2. I like Harden alot. He can be down right filthy. His contract is very affordable. I would give up Hardy and Will Inman to get him. This would be my rotation. Sheets Harden Capuano Bush Gallardo
  3. Realgm.com is reporting that Rich Harden is available. What would you give up if you were the Brewers?
  4. Crawford would be the perfect fit for this Brewers team. I just dont see the D-Rays pulling the trigger on him. We could offer Mark Rodgers and Hardy, there is some value there. Bill Hall might be able to get it done, but we would give up our big bat for a top of the order guy. At that point I would look to deal Hall for someone Like Jason Bay or Adam Dunn who can play the outfield and who will put up equal or greater power numbers. I just cant see Tampa doing a deal that would be fair for both sides.
  5. The way I looked at it we really do not have a clear cut third baseman. Koskie has shown to be injury prone. Cirillo has not resigned yet and is getting older by the day, although I love the guy he could just walk imo. Braun I think will be a studd but probably in the outfield not at third. And last, Tony G. may be traded by the end of the winter meetings or by the all star break if the right deal comes along. To me Tracy is a clone of Overbay but with just a bit more power and can play third. Would we have traded Overbay if he could have played third? I think not.
  6. I just looked on the ESPN insider and it mentioned Chad Tracy has been put on the trade block by the D-Backs. It looked like the Angels were going to deal for him, but pulled out. The Angels did not want to deal pitcher Joe Saunders. Would the Brewers be able to swing a deal. He is only 26 years old and can play third and first and I think he only made $381,000 last year. In 2005 he hit 27hr's. and 72 RBI's and had a avg. of 308. In 2006 he hit 281 avg. 20hr's and 80 RBI's I would like to see Melvin make them a offer. This is what I would do. D-Backs get: Tony Graff. or Koskie Matt Wise OR Villenueva ( Straight up) Brewers : Chad Tracy
  7. I would deal Hall for Carl Crawford straight up. I just dont know if the D-Rays would go for that. Adam Dunn from the Reds would be great and the bat he brings would give us a true power hitter in the middle of the line up. I also would not mind seeing the Brewers go after Beltre or Ensberg for 3rd base. I guess the other guy I like is Willy Mo Pena with the Bo-Sox, he is still young and has some pop and potential. Any of these players would make this offseason a semi good one for me.http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif
