Casey has been much better hitting righties this year. He historically hits lefties better though, so I have no idea. That's the only reason I can think of.

Agreed. It worked and I am happy it did, but those last two outs were pretty dicey. Had they not had the whole infield between 1st and 2nd that third out would have been a single through the hole.

Nice to see a quick 6th for Marcum there. Should be able to get 7 or 8 out of him tonight and set the bullpen up the rest of the road trip.

Coming into tonight: .228/.250/.331/.581. That's not bad, that's terrible. And that's not to mention his lack of range of defense. True. Guess I should have said tonight.

Guess I am not sure what the problem with Betancourt is. I'd like to see more of Counsell too, but that ball was a rocket back to the mound that Garland played very well. Just as easily could have been a single up the middle.

To be clear before people jump on me, I'm talking about the one he DIDN'T catch. I thought it was going to be caught too. It looked like the ball carried more than Gomez thought it would. From my eyes it looked like he broke over and then had to drift back. Which is insane because he almost caught it, even with what seemed to be not the best route.
