  1. Interesting lineup -- put Braun in for Graffanino and Hart in for Jenkins or Mench and you've got 7/9ths of one of those "future lineups" that we were all drooling over a couple of years ago... For the most part, the future is now.
  2. I have peered into Arizona to see the future, and the future is a beautiful scene replete with Yo induced zeros and abundant harmless grounders off CV change-ups. Actually I didn't see anything but a few comments on bf.net and a spring training box score, but hey it looks great anyway.
  3. I'm curious what you think of Luis Pena and what you think is the organization's view of him. Seemed that he was seen as an up and comer a couple of years ago, and he has an invitation to spring training with the Brewers this year, yet you have him pegged with a set up role in high A....
  4. If a team is in need of short-term bullpen help I'd suggest it would be better to draft the best available college pitcher (typically a starter) and convert to a bullpen role, rather than drafting someone who served as their college's closer. I just think generally speaking the best pitchers with the best stuff are starters. Plus with heavy use of a college pitcher in the spring months going to the bullpen for part of first pro season might make sense. Of course those that can make the college to pro jump with immediate impact are few and far between.
  5. I've been hanging around these parts for many years, long enough to know more than any person should about Jeff Pickler (one of the most overly "Harold-ed" prospects of all time...). Thanks for giving a baseball junkie a great place to check in all the time. I submitted my list today, will be interested to see the results. I put more weight on potential to make a significant impact over likelihood of making it to Milwaukee, so for example I have Jeffress over Jackson and Brewer over Gwynn. I also have more faith in modern medicine than perhaps I should, so still believe Jones and Rogers have a shot...
