TH is in rare form on the twitter tonight. He's on one of his classic umpire rants.

I was hoping for Brendan Katin. It would be a chance to see if he really is a 4A player or not. -
The runners are still Narveson's. On a fielder's choice the responsibility stays with the base if an out is made.
-
How unclassy of Casey to hit their pitcher in his first at bat and then hit a home run his second at bat. I'll be surprised if he isn't roundly booed in his next at bat.
-
Unfortunately, Marshfield WI native Gary Varsho was also fired from his bench coach position.

I want Paul DePodesta to be the New GM of the Brewers

As long as we're getting crazy, I mean why not consider James Gammon? He did a pretty mean job of scouting all of that talent for the Indians in Major League. I'm sure Ueck is still tight with him and wouldn't have any trouble persuading him to come here. But then we would also have to hire a psychic to contact the spirit of James Gammon, since he died in July. I don't think Ueck wants to be that tight with him. -
jhart: What kind of info are you looking for? If you give me a name I could give you a "scouting report". Sometimes it pays to be old.

I understand your points Blingster but I will counter with Duke has just one start before tonights game because of an elbow injury so they were taking a chance that he could hurt himself. I know it was an elbow but those who were pitchers can tell you that a touchy elbow hates to swing the bat.
-
Duke is 2 for 24 this year and Russell used him as a pinch hitter last night. Can anyone explain that logic to me? Even Macha wouldn't do something that mind boggling. And if he did, we would have been all over him.

The good news is that there is plenty of time to come back.

You have to wonder what Cappy ever did to the baseball gods to make them so mad that they would torture him so much.
-
Let's score some this inning and get Cappy a win.
-
I wonder if Alvarez has a problem with his ears getting cold.
-
The over/under for stolen bases in this game is 10.
-
Both of the homers were lucky because the batters were lucky to have Davis pitching to them.
-
Same old Sharpie.
-
Escobar in the 2 spot kills any momentum that the offense can build.
-
Unbeleivable, Bochy sends the pitcher up to bat to help save his bullpen and the guy gets hurt. You'd almost think that Macha was giving him tips.
-
When this offense goes into one of their funks, it sure can be hard to watch.
-
It looks like Braun needs his dad to come to Milwaukee and slap him upside the head and tell him to quit pouting and suck it up.
-
Here we go again. Sometimes I feel sorry for Macha. It doesn't matter who he picks out of the bullpen.
-
They were going to back Yo up one day and he was scheduled to start the Saturday game.

And the arson squad strikes again.

Big day for the umps today. "And it's not even hot yet."

What is there about Blum and Johnson that Bush can't figure out?
