I agree with Jimbo's wife. The Rockford Files theme is the greatest of all. The worst...Lost in Space. That ditty still haunts me on occasion.

Welcome to the board azcheesehead. Keep up the reports, if possible. Just don't skip too many days of work to do it!

I have officiated Basketball, Baseball and Football for over 20 years. Of the three, basketball is by far the hardest. Baseball would be next and it isn't as easy as it looks. There are so many interpretations to the game. Football is a piece of cake. I might feel that way because that is where I have reached my highest level of competition. If you know your rules you are way ahead because most people don't know them very well. Also, everyone watches the ball and most penalties occur away from the ball.

    It's not a complete day if I don't read Al's Ramblings.

I thoroughly enjoyed Sutton but usually because he provided entertainment when we were getting crushed. Now that the Brewers are good, Anderson's understated delivery is perfect. On a side note, I ran into Ann Carroll at Twinsfest last weekend. You can't believe how attractive and personable she is in person. I felt bad about my opinion of her last summer.

The color announcers on Fox. Brian Baldinger, Moose Johnston and especially Troy Aikman. Don't those guys ever shut up.

I haven't felt right about the Brewers for a while. Now I know what the problem was. Woogie's back and I feel great.

    Go Nashville Sounds

And the 5th outfielder will probably be Gabe Gross.

Does anyone think we are seeing why Estrada is always being traded?
  11. sauveb
Bruce. I respect your opinions and I almost always agree with you but not this time. The blame goes to Estrada and the rest of the offense. If Yost uses Coco and we don't score we still end up with Balfour or Spurling. If we score we have Cordero for the win. You have to keep your closer for the save.
  12. sauveb
I don't understand why everyone thinks Coco should have pitched. In what inning do you use him? You can't blame that one on Yost.
  13. sauveb
Who cares if Balfour is out of options. Get rid of him.

Estrada better hope we pull this one out.

They lead off with a guy hitting .198 and Suppan walks him. What is going on.
  16. sauveb
WOW. The Rockies had 32 plate appearances in 10 innings. WOW

Great job by Yo tonight. Get a run to reward him.

It's not FSN that is cutting out. I am watching FSN in NW Wis. and we are seeing all of the game.

If he was pulling on the top of his finger a dislocation is possible. That might only cost him a start or two.

I'd love it even more if he had a clue.

I love it when the guy who makes the great defensive play leads off the next inning.

I agree that Estrada looked good early on but the ground out to the pitcher is an example of what I'm talking about. A pitch on the outside corner and he tries to yank it and it goes to the pitcher. That pitch should be taken to left field. I know this should go in the vent thread but it is driving me nuts.

We spend a considerable amount of time critiquing the pitchers every night. Is anyone else getting tired of the poor approach to hitting? The only two guys that ever go with a pitch are Braun and Fielder and they happen to be our top 2 hitters. You can't try to pull every pitch. Watch the swings in our half of the 5th and comment on what you think.

Watching Phil Garner leave Oswalt in way too long reminds me of another manager that we all know and love.
