  1. Brewers win tonight, Defeat the retro voodoo, Onto October.
  2. And Mench steals third. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/roll.gif
  3. You want to judge a pitchers performance based on only the result? That's your right. Just understand that some look a little deeper than just earned runs. I'm not judging it only on earned runs. Vargas didn't have his best stuff today. I'm not saying it was a great start. It was decent because he limited the damage.
  4. Is that like saying a pitcher with a 12-0 record is awesome if they win every game 10-9? No it's not because, for one, a pitcher's win/loss record is hardly ever indicative of how good the pitcher is. Vargas had his troubles but he still kept his team in the position to win the game. What's bad about that?
  5. How can it be a bad start if he didn't give up any runs?
  6. Mench would have been called a large headed, purple lipstick wearing, purse carrier.
  7. You should like a Cubs fan. My heart goes out to you.
  8. This is a highlight? More like lowlight.
  9. Vargas is just teasing the Astros by letting them load the bases and getting nothing. He's like Lucy pulling the football away from Charlie Brown.
  10. Wow, that was a lollypop throw if I ever saw one.
  11. My how the tables have turned. Let's hope they leave Greg in there so we can clear the bags!
  12. Yes because the 5th starter is the only pitcher who will struggle. Every pitcher will have their ups and downs. It's just a matter of how well you get through your downs and the Brewer pitching staff has enough talent to weather their downs.
  13. This game has an Elmer Dessens appearence written all over it.
  14. With the Astros losers of 7 in a row, they were bound to get some of these fluke hits sooner or later. They were due.
  15. Was that the bullpen cam they just showed or prison cell cam?
  16. Way to hustle that ground ball out Carlos. Albeit he probably wouldn't have beaten it out, it could have been closer.
  17. I don't know what Hunter Pence normally looks like, but if you ask me, he looks like he's gonna pee his pants.
  18. Good morning, good afternoon, and good night. Way to mow 'em down Bushy!
  19. Ann Carroll reffered to the Brewers as "your" Brewers as well, so she's consistent. She's probably neither a Wisconsinite or sports fan.
  20. I never really paid much attention to Ann Carroll before now when I was focusing on the pregame and wow does she stumble over words a lot. I know we're all human, but you're in front of a camera, I'm pretty sure it's your job to speak clearly. Also, Turnbow needs to shave that thing off his chin. I think it's alive.
  21. I love how everyone is jumping off of buildings already when we don't even know the extent of the injury but just because it's Ben Sheets everyone assumes the worst. I'll reserve judgement until he is evaluated.
  22. I gotta believe that they took Sheets out so the injury didn't get more serious. If it's that cold there it really could affect any sort of muscle injury. Gotta think long term.
  23. Pinella speaks! Unfortunately he seems rather subdued.
  24. Game should be called, it's too wet out there. Hopefully?
