  1. Hendrickson should have gotten a pair of black framed glasses with a skull in the middle and he could have been the modern day Rick Vaughn.
  2. I used the word "fecal" for a triple word score in my game of scrabble tonight. Alas, it did not help me win.
  3. Girls and their mind games. Takes up way too much of my time.
  4. Took my last final and moved back home on Friday. Where as all my friends are entering their week of death this week, I'm all done. That does not bug me.
  5. And that person will probably never forget how to spell "bananas"
  6. I heard that a surefire way to prevent a hangover is not to drink.
  7. The front of the new stadium reminds me of the Milwaukee Art Museum and their fins or whatever they're called.
  8. Is this a ploy to get people to the ballpark in Tampa? Build a new stadium every 15 years?
  9. Revenge never solves anything. Sir Francis Bacon once said "In taking revenge, a man is but even with his enemy; but in passing it over, he is superior." Be the bigger man and turn the cheek. Just let the anger die out naturally and don't take childish actions out on people.
  10. Very reminiscent of that King of the Hill episode where Hank's driver's license said female. Great episode.
  11. Carlos Pena had a monster year. I didn't even realize how many home runs he had until I saw his name there when they showed the MLB leaders during a Brewer game. I immediately picked him up and he propelled my team into taking my fantasy league. Wonder if he can consistently put up those huge numbers.
  12. I find it annoying people who start threads and use the phrase "mods feel free to move this". Pretty sure they don't look for your permission to move it and they just will as they see fit. It bugs me.
  13. If the increase in ticket prices are identical to the increase of inflation for the year for the value of the US dollar, or the raise in the real and nominal prices for you economics people, then the price increase means nothing.
  14. I think that the great production so far by TBS isn't that surprising because Inside the NBA is also a high quality program. I think the common factor in this Ernie Johnson, who was actually born in Milwaukee (thank you Wikipedia). That guy is nothing but professionalism and class in my opinion.
  15. LDS Cleveland over New York Boston over LA Angels Arizona over Chicago Colorado over Philadelphia LCS Cleveland over Boston Colorado over Arizona World Series Colorado over Cleveland
  16. As soon as holograms and holodecks become as available as in Star Trek, I think all of our lives are over. I've always found it to be such an amazing concept that any scenario could be created and played out with you in it, and it would all feel real. I would probably spend the rest of my life in there.
  17. What are the odds that Brady Clark gets booed tonight? I sadly think that it's a pretty good chance. Tsk tsk.
  18. I was about to comment on it as well. Considering what was at stake, the play was pretty remarkable. Not that there is a cause and effect relationship, but consider: Before play: Purdue ranked #5 in the nation, Kyle Orton is a Heisman trophy candidate. After play: Purdue proceeds to tank and ends up losing in Sun Bowl, and has been irrelevant ever since. Kyle Orton fades from Heisman race and is now a 3rd string QB behind Rex Grossman. Ok, those were some cheap shots. Back on topic.. http://www.tradebit.com/usr/1site2c/pub/9001/ps2-repair.jpg I am hoping that the Brewers do to the Cubs what the Badgers did to Purdue that fateful evening.http://static.yuku.com//domainskins/bypass/img/smileys/happy.gif

  20. Instead of enjoying the playoff chase, so many are spending all their time about our manager's "insufficiencies", sounds like fun to me. Totally agree. Just blame the team for losing and move on to tomorrow's game. I was talking with my brother during the game last night and while in between pitches he said something about not liking all this tension. And I said that I loved it cause I actually felt like a Brewer game had great importance and that we've been waiting our whole lives for this, so why not enjoy it?
  21. I bought Motion City Soundtrack's latest album, Even If It Kills Me, on Tuesday and let me just say, wow. I've been listening to this non stop and it just doesn't get old. All the tracks are catchy and fun to sing along to and are also great lyrically. I like this album more than their first, I Am the Movie, which I prefer more than Commit This To Memory. Another great album I purchased was Chiodos' Bone Palace Ballet. I don't know how many of you are into the screamo bands, but this one definitely rocks. Actually, there is considerably less screaming on this album than their last, All's Well That Ends Well. Still a lot of keyboard action that accompanies the hard rock and their lead singer, whom has an amazing and unique voice. I'd highly recommend either of these albums to fans of their genre.
  22. And yes, we would be playing for a tie and hoping to win later. But that is MUCH BETTER than playing to lose by leaving Matt Wise in there. EVERYONE knew he was going to blow the game. And if the manager had any sense, he would have known it too. Wise could have stepped up and pitched a 1-2-3 inning too. Just cause he's not thrown well lately doesn't mean that he will always throw poorly. Players can turn it around. I can't speak for Yost, but I'm pretty sure that if he would have known that Wise was going to give up a run, he wouldn't have put him in.
  23. The point is, you have to pitch them anyway, then! Either you can use Coco right away and hope the Brewers score more than 1 run or you wait until maybe the Brewers score or don't use him at all. There's nothing magical about save opportunities. I understand what you mean by using Cordero right away to make sure the other team doesn't score and hope the Brewers score. But to me, that's like playing for a tie and hoping to get a win. Where as if you get the lead without using Cordero, it betters the chance of winning. If the Brewers had more than 2 or 3 reliable arms in the bullpen, this is a non issue.
  24. I side with Yost. Why use your closer when the game is tied on the road when there is no garuntee that you're going to score in the top half? So when you do score a run, you don't have to throw out pitchers like Wise and McClung to get a save because there's no one left in the pen.
  25. I generally like Anderson, but this one habit he has really annoys me. He'll constantly utter phrases such as "He's retired X in a row" or "He's been perfect through X innings" or "He's riding a X game hitting streak" or "He's thrown X scoreless innings". I think it has to do with baseball superstition that you don't mention things like that until they are over, or at least try not to, but in Anderson's recapping of the action he will constantly refer to these things and I feel like he's jinxing them. It's a petty annoyance but I want to see a Brewer no hitter or perfect game some time http://static.yuku.com//domainskins/bypass/img/smileys/tongue.gif
