  1. I just hit my stride and hit 7 homers in one round with two line-outs and a liner to right center. I'm playing as Menchkins and just had 31110.
  2. I'll tell you one thing, Chad Moeller runs that ball out. He was the consumate team player. Heck, the guy hit for the cycle while battling a stomach flu.
  3. Let's get Piazza.
  4. I don't get this. Ned has known about this "ailing" hamstring for two weeks, I'm assuming is what that means, and left him in the lineup. Then suddenly when Johnny can't hustle out a groundball in a big situation he brings out the excuse for it and decides to have him sit a few games, after the fact? OK.
  5. As much as I enjoy having Jenkins on the team, I think it's becoming pretty evident that he won't be around next year, regardless of the outcome of the season. The money that would otherwise have to be spent paying him will be best spent helping the team in other areas.
  6. I'm not sure either, just wondering from people who saw the replay, I left the room. On the double clutch, it was waiting for Conine to get back to the base, not that it has anything to do with it, it was still a double clutch. Bummer of a game, I think we can all agree on that.
  7. Just throwing this out there, does anyone really believe Estrada beats that doubleplay out if he flat out runs right off the bat? In all honesty I don't think he beats it out anyways. I'm more frustrated that he couldn't atleast pop the ball up and hope it gets deep enough in the OF. EDIT: Not excusing his lack of hustle by anymeans, but I'm just not sure he beats that one out no matter what. ...and I haven't seen the replay yet, but from my first impressions I thought he was probably going to be out anyways.
  8. ANYWAYS... It's unfortunate that now that we get April-Cappy back, the offense has put up 3 combined runs in his last two starts, both of which were more than quality starts. Here's to hoping Cappy keeps it up.
  9. WELL, I would hate for that to happen. As for the pitcher's warming up, you take Parra who was just up a inning or two earlier, and hope he can get ready with a three pitches in the 'pen and get it worked out with his 8-10 warmups on the mound. I'd take my chances with that over what Balfour and done in that inning up to that point. I understand this wasn't a MUST win, and for that reason I'm not going to worry about it all day tomorrow, but why Ball-four was even brought in another tie game situation, late, I won't know.
  10. A. Estrada's inability to hit a ball to the outfield when all we need is one run in an extra inning game. B. Ball-four/Yost. I'm not faulting Yost for not bringing in Coco. However, unlike Villy the other day, Grant gave no indication he was going to get an out that inning. After the second walk and most certainly after the botched bunt play, you have to pull him.
  11. Speaking of one of the best possible starts to the beginning of an 11th inning... that was the worst possible ending to a no-out bases loaded extra inning situation. Neither team deserves to win at this point. Should be interesting to see who actually gets the mark in the W column.
  12. Pardon my french, but Johnny, that was absolutely pathetic. Bring in Damian. Atleast he runs when he has to.
  13. I have a brand new Grady Sizemore jersey t-shirt that I ordered online. It's one of the Majestic brand shirts like any of the Fielder, Hardy, Sheets, etc. name and number t-shirts you'd see. Problem is I got an adult small, which is somewhat hard to come across and I thought it would fit but it's a bit tight. So basically I'm trying to find someone who would want it. Like Kramer says, "Interesting trades considered." Let me know.
  14. Menchkins in the lineup, the Reds don't know what's coming.
  15. Saw one a month or two ago go for over $100 on eBay. Not sure if that's the norm tho.
  16. I think you mean 64 games left, too bad it's not 104 though. I can see Prince breaking the HR record and the SLG % record. Cordero will break the saves record. I would put Prince down for the RBI record as well, but as you stated, Braun has pretty much been cleaning up before Prince gets to the plate. Barring Braun going ice cold and/or a lineup change, I don't think Prince will get it, though I do believe he'll be close, maybe even tie it. One thing is for sure, I won't care if I'm wrong if he does go on to break it.
  17. Ennder, what makes you say Jenkins has been below average in the field this year? Though I know errors don't tell the whole story because it could just mean he didn't make it to some balls he should of, but he has 1 error so far this year and 5 assists, putting him roughly on pace for roughly his career average of 10 a year. Not only that I seem to remember quite a few diving catches that meant a whole lot in the games they were made. I would have to agree at this point, though, that Dunn would probably be an upgrade offensively, because heck, we might as well get more homeruns if the guy we have is hitting .260. But I'd still take Jenkins.
  18. Let's make that a 62 in a few minutes. Go Dbacks.
  19. And the other good news is, the Cubs aren't winning...yet, considering it's the top of the first. But a Crew win and a Cubs loss today would be an excellent cap to an otherwise not so great weekend.
  20. While Ned confuses me with what he says and what he actually does, it doesn't really bother me to see Rickie in the leadoff spot. His average isn't getting any better, at all really, but his OBP, like always is pretty solid. Taking his walks, which is more than Corey can say right now. No harm in shaking it up a bit today, but I'm just confused with Ned's mixed messages about Rickie not playing so much for a while, then moving him to leadoff. But again, had he not said that in the first place I still think Rickie getting another shot at leadoff maybe to get something going isn't a bad idea.
