  1. A: I'm not sure. Q: Why doesn't everyone who gets on first base attempt to steal when Johnny is catching?
  2. A: Pitch almost two innings against mostly righties and walk lefties. Q: What does our lefty "specialist" do?
  3. A: http://geektechnique.org/img/GT-wallpaper-3-thumb.jpg Q: What is the magic number down to?
  4. I wonder if he was from any other city if that sign would have been ok. The fact that he's dressed like he is in that picture, to me atleast, would make it ok.
  5. Funny you should mention about the wave, a lady and a guy that from my estimation were somewhat wasted were trying to get the wave going on Wednesday in Section 107, right after Ball-four gave up the three-run blast, to my delight only the people around me did it and it kept dying off only one or two sections over, and one guy even yelled out "Sit down, you don't do the wave when you're losing." Exactly.
  6. 20fry that's just ridiculous especially when you agreed not to go through that way. Honestly, when it got to the point where she still was asking for your ticket even though your kid took off the other way and you had to go catch up to him that's almost to the point where it would be worthwhile to call in to complain about that usher if you got her name. Odds are it wouldn't result in anything, but if it did, she would have it coming.
  7. I would like to run away with the division, personally. I would think the majority of Brewer fans agree. But we're going to run away with the division next year, so this year might as well be close so we get a taste of both.
  8. We have a 52-inch big screen, big projection type. When we bought it they highly recommended not laying it on it's back so we ended up borrowing a trailer and strapping it in there nice and tight. We had to slide ours down our stairs to our rec room because of a somewhat low slanted ceiling going down and even then it made some funny noises inside but still works fine, but was somewhat nervewracking doing so. Like others have said it would be worth the investment of the U-haul just to be safe since the TV is free for you anyways.
  9. Personally, I think the rest of this year is going to be a blast, other than last year where we were pretty close to making it a race with St. Louis but then went on that streak, we haven't even been in a position to be in first place by 2.5 games with only about a little more than two months left in the season. We know the Cubs can't keep up the pace they've been on since the fight and we know the Brewers are decent enough this year to keep things interesting. The Brewers will lose games, can't complain after every single loss. I think we're in for two of the most exciting months of Brewers baseball in years and years and we should probably all enjoy it while we can. Besides, who wants to just run away with the division anyways? This way I'll hopefully have something to keep me away from classes once September comes around.
  10. Does this mean Yost will lay off this same lineup atleast for awhile when we face lefties? I'm all for righty-lefty matchups, but he's overly all for them.
  11. Cubs should probably lose two in a row soon. This is getting ridiculous. But anyways, Graffy in LF again tonight and a heavy righty lineup again, a la Wednesday, hopefully a better result.
  12. My favorite quote: It doesn't say they were satisfied, however. And that's something else, if they thought she wasn't doing a bad job, I don't know what is going on there. I know they wouldn't say it in an article, but I can imagine the talk in the conference room was that boy, that Ann Carroll is doing some good work.
  13. I saw Jesse Levis at the zoo once. He was looking at the birds.
  14. Just got home from work, seems like things are going ok today. Only 10 runs though? C'mon.
  15. Good work tonight by Cappy, some nice two out K's. Bummer the offense didn't show up with the hits even with the five BB by DD. Oh well. Can't win them all, hopefully it gets Cappy back on track.
  16. My first time seeing Rickie since the struggles really started, and bottomline just plain didn't look good at the plate at all. Nothing even to be encouraged about based on tonight. I'm hoping he turns it around as soon as he can, I thought Ned was going to have Rickie sit a bit more often, but I suppose the start makes sense tonight since DD walks batters and Rickie is a bit more patient. But still, rough watching him tonight.
  17. If Capuano wasn't starting, you'd be almost guaranteed to get his autograph over on the outfield side of the dugout before the game, but he doesn't sign on days he starts. I saw a few other players sign a few times but other than that it didn't look like many did pre-game.
  18. Heading out to the game in a few minutes, I almost wish I could stay home and listen to Bill blow smoke about these guys having two of the best pickoff moves in baseball, but I'll be too busy enjoying my 16.50 field outfield seats. Hopefully someone can answer this quick before I go, is Graffy really starting in left?
  19. I'm thinking tonight could be rough too, assuming they'll have it closed with the threat of rain, quite muggy today.
  20. We got waxed 22-13 at our softball game tonight, but it was alright once I heard the Brewers won again, and only needed 3 runs to do so. Nice job, I see Shouse even got another scoreless inning in there. Excellent work and now I'm jacked to go to the Cappy vs. DD matchup tomorrow.
  21. casey you beat me to the Chris Bosio pics. Nice work.
  22. I gotta head out to my softball game and it's 2-0, bummer. I much prefer leaving with the Brewers up. Though it seems the games I can't watch or listen to turn out to be wacky scores anyways or games anyways. Like when Gabe Gross hit 2 homers in one game. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/embarassed.gif Go Brewers.
  23. I was somewhat frustrated when Bill and Brain just said that it's now probably atleast 4-6 weeks for Ben after hearing earlier 2-4, 4 weeks at most. Oh well. I'm sure between Yo, Villy, maybe even Parra but I doubt it that we should be OK. Hopefully it won't be like last year where the fill-ins went 5-17 in the starts Ben and Ohka missed. I'm sure we can pull atleast .500 in the games he was supposed to start, which for all we know could be what he would have done anyways. Lets just all hope that it doesn't turn into atleast 6 six weeks minimum, possibly the season.
  24. Just thought I'd be annoying and point out that the DBacks have the alternate red's and the Crew is sporting the blues. I like the way the alternates look for almost every team...maybe it'll eventually do away the grey's altogether.
  25. Too bad, would have been fun to see some support for Sutton, didn't do much wrong while he was in Milwaukee, he sat through some of the more disappointing seasons in the last few years as we did and was here when we cracked .500. Somewhat surprised that with some of the stuff they let in for the BB, that they won't let some people do it tonight in what I would expect to be far less buckets than were in house for the BB. Just allowing the few fans that would have been clever enough to bring buckets to say hey to Daron would have been cool.
