  1. I was in the 2nd deck in the RF bleachers and came close to passing out a couple of times. I was somewhat lucky, we had seats on the Club level so it was a bit more spacious with less people overall but still, easily the most uncomfortable I've ever been at a baseball game of any sort.
  2. I love that mid-week day games are selling so well. Those are probably my favorite games to go to, but I've only made it to one this year since my job this summer is a M-F unlike last summers random schedule.
  3. Opening day this year had 45,431, *I think, so don't yell at me if I'm wrong. If I'm remembering correctly, 46K+ isn't impossible for this weekend. Edit: I was close, it's 45,341 which was good enough for 2nd largerst crowd in MP history. Might be tough to squeeze another 1K.

  5. As appealing as this Vargas vs. Petit matchup is, I'm having a hard time hiding my excitement for the Capuano vs. DD matchup on Wed. from my 1/2 price seats on the field level. Here's hoping Davis doesn't walk anyone but the Crew still wins 15-0.
  6. Yeah, nice pictures. I didn't realize so many players were going to these block parties. Mench looks like an even bigger goofball in a casual situation than he does on the baseball diamond.
  7. I find the post by Aramis Fan to be particularly entertaining, near the bottom.
  8. Bronswell Patrick?...A name I never thought I'd hear or say again.
  9. Was anyone at the HR Derby at MP? That was something else. I've never felt that uncomfortable from humidity in my life after they closed the roof.
  10. ...if they sell these jerseys at the Fan Zone at MP?...haven't been in there yet this year, usually a long line during games and haven't found time to make a separate trip out there. At the Fan Zone/how much?
  11. An interesting idea, but I think the main point of a roof over a baseball field is to prevent winter weather and rain from causing delays, etc. to games. Closing it on a hot summer day for shade just wouldn't be 'basebally'.
  12. I used podutil a few times, works ok, but you have to sit there and click 'ok' every 50 songs because it wants you to pay otherwise.
  13. I like standing above the visiting bullpen, but whenever I've had standing room I try to get up behind the bleachers early and sit at those Miller Lite barstools... I'd grab a table along the 1B side near the rail. Those too.
  14. Just thought I'd add that the Crew had the blues on last night and the Rockies had their alternate blacks. So it probably happens more than we think we just never remember or we don't pay as much attention to games that don't involve the Brewers.
  15. Our two backup infielders are batting about .240. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/frown.gif Our starting second baseman is batting about .220. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/embarassed.gif C'mon Rickie get something going.
  16. I could do without the boo birds. Same here, really unneccessary, if Turnbow would have walked Tulo instead of gettting the double play I have a feeling he would have heard it again.
  17. I'd have to agree that it's awesome seeing so many people wearing Brewers gear around now, nice to have that one conversation piece to bring up with someone you don't know that well when they're wearing a Brewers hat or shirt also. Besides, it can be fun to talk about people making mistakes about the Brewers now, because hopefully in 10 years, they'll be as into it as alot of us are. We were all at that point sometime I'm sure.
  18. I've been paired up with a guy at work the last two weeks who likes talking about the Brewers, and mentions how he's been playing his MVP '05 game alot lately. Problem is, he tries to tell me that the Brewers will probably lose it eventually and that the REDS are going to make a run at the division, and that I should just wait and see. And he claims everyone thinks the same, that the Reds will make a run. Then he proceeded to tell me that the Brewers should try to get Henry Blanco back because "that new guy" isn't doing that well. The conversation ended when he asked me if Victor Santos and TOMMY PHELPS are still on the team.
  19. In addition to other points brought up... What's the difference between starting Cappy last night or tonight or even Sunday? He has to pitch eventually and he could have had just as bad an outing any other day. It made most sense to just have him start considering he was on a SP's normal five days rest and Sheets threw an inning on Tuesday so just hold him off til Saturday. Yes Bush is pitching well lately, but who knows if he went out there last night and returned to early-May form, people would be complaining that Ned should have started Cappy last night.
  20. Three hours before gametime is the "official" policy I believe. But if there's enough people and the parking workers are there they'll let you in.
  21. I'm surprised that people are mentioning Cappy, Suppan and Vargas. A few weeks ago it was Bush. I'm guessing in another few weeks it'll be someone new. All it'll take is one or two decent outings from any of those three and suddenly people will forget about this last stretch.
  22. Thanks, got 4 Field Outfield, on the aisle. See you guys Wednesday, Cappy should be due for a reasonable outing.
  23. I've pretty much stopped watching the NBA and the Bucks also. Just isn't that entertaining for me anymore. Whoever said that the NBA is going the same way as the NHL is going to be right eventually, as much as David Stern tries to "clean it up..", etc. Totally on the same page as you BHF, much rather go to a Ads game than a Bucks game, way cheaper and way more entertaining if you ask me.
  24. I have a regular Bill Hall to trade, turns out I can't make it to the game on the 5th. If anyone can help me out it'd be much appreciated.
  25. Excellent, nice to see two Brewers get a full inning on the mound, now we just need to get Hardy an AB. As I type, Coco gives up a homer to Crawford. Oh well. Better now than Friday that's for sure.
