  1. I love this lineup as well, Ned must have been reading the posts about dropping Billy to 7th just for something different to try to get him going a bit more. I would have put TGJ one and Rickie two, but that's why I'm not the manager.
  2. I like how BA just said nice effort Luis Gonzalez, not the prettiest attempt at a sliding catch I've seen.
  3. Geoff Jenkins says enough is enough.
  4. Dear Bill Hall, Do something. Thanks for your time, jlau20
  5. OK one more for me then I'm heading out... Exactly, and quite frankly as long as they're in first place it makes it that much easier to wake up in the morning.
  6. Agreed, nothing personal at all of course. Actually laughed out loud when I read the garbage night comment. I'm out, let's get one tomorrow.
  7. Definitely not performing as expected that's for sure, with all the attention given to him going to arbritration, not going to arbritration...blah, blah, blah...do something mildly impressive already.
  8. Morneau grounded into the second inning ending double play, but you must have been "neglected to watch the game." First off, you didn't exactly go out on a limb and make a good guess...of course the odds are better of extending an inning with a pinch hitter over the pitcher, but that's not the point here. And I'm assuming that you are insinuating that I'm wrong...and that would have to mean that Yost is wrong too, along with anyone else that would have kept Cappy in, which in my opinion would be the majority.
  9. Right. I guess those two inning ending double plays off groundballs were just my imagination wishing that that's what was really happening?
  10. Eh...29 out of 30 managers would have let Capuano hit. He had one bad inning, was getting outs otherwise, and there was only one guy on, down five with two outs. One less pinch hitter today because of Weeks sitting, so really it's the right decision to have Cappy hit. If there was one out, or more than one guy on, etc., I'm sure Ned would have hit for Cappy. Unfortunately Graffy hit one for an easy 4-6-3 a few batters earlier. I take it back, I'm 99% sure that every manager would have had Capuano hit.
  11. Cappy hitting was fine. I don't know what you guys are talking about. Had Graffanino not grounded into a double play, when Jenkins of all people walks to try to get something started, Yost would have pinch hit for Cappy. But given there was two outs, big whoop, hope Cappy can eat up another inning for us. He hasn't been terrible, off yes, but only one big blowup in one inning. Fine decision.
  12. The one thing I think people can have a beef with so far this season is the 3B situation, it hasn't turned out well at all. Counsellino is one word, and it appears that when Counsell and Graffanino are both in the lineup, worlds collide. A Counsellino divided against itself cannot stand.
  13. Not too much to complain about tonight, one rough inning for Cappy, very rough unfortunately. I'm not about to start bashing Ned for letting Rickie rest, I think that's the right call if there's soreness or something there...BUT Counsellino is one word, and that means only one of them can be starting at a time, a Counsellino divided against itself CANNOT stand. Worlds are colliding.
  14. Atleast it seems like they're giving Ann Carroll less airtime... Oh wait...
  15. Uh...Gross leading off? I guess hitting two bombs in a game earns you the right to hit wherever regardless of your .211 average. That should be interesting, hopefully it turns out well.
  16. A win, I'll take it. 2-5 for the road trip...could have been 4-3, but it happens. Let's just take all three from the Twins.
  17. C'mon Coco. Nice outing for Sheets btw...just got my first chance to check in on the game, 8 K's is promising, hopefully he can keep that up.
  18. Adding to the Ann Carroll discussion... I no longer watch pregame or postgame coverage, I try to catch Ned's press conference, but that's about it. I really can't take it anymore, for whatever reason it's one of the few things that really irritates me when I watch it.
  19. Seriously JJ is THE man right now. Guy does everything, and now he can add ending a no-hitter with a home run to his resume.
  20. JJ He's starting to really get me to think he can keep this up until he's 40.
  21. I like Ravech, he's one of the few guys on the show that isn't a complete meathead.
  22. Agreed Bob, Monday was tough to swallow. Other than that, somewhat what I expected out of the road trip...not counting tonight's performance of course. AND what do you know, a walk...I was starting to think that 3-0 might have been to good to be true.
