Ugh. Fiers was perfectly lined up to step in and be stretched out, too. I hate this. At least with Fiers you have some upside given how well he's been pitching. We'll get "okay" at best from Estrada.

Very weird thread. The amount of people that think Davis is going to lose significant playing time due to this move is shocking to me.

Someone just called 1250AM and said that this thread probably means that Davis is benched, Braun is going back to LF, and then Parra will take RF. Wow. I don't know why I listen to talk radio.

I wouldn't have minded him, even though I knew it wouldn't happen. Don't the Nationals really like their SS already?

He was very good last year and I was always surprised that he wasn't given more consideration to platoon with Davis this year... but he has NOT been good this year at all to warrant more opportunities.

I think we posted almost simultaneously. There's absolutely no way that Gerardo Parra starts over Khris Davis. No way.

Wow, it's surprising me that you guys think Khris Davis is on the move or going to be a 4th OF. I think he's staying in LF and Parra will be the bench player/4th OF. The Brewers see Davis as part of their future. They moved Braun over for him. He's capable of a better OBP. He's already OPS'ing almost .800 and I think he'll likely regularly have an OPS over .800. I really would be shocked if he was traded, and even more shocked if he was made a 4th OF. No way they bench him.

His FIP says he's better than that ERA... but this move isn't going to make a difference. Their offense is not good and their injuries are going to be too much to overcome. -
Managing according to the save stat is the stupidest thing in the world to me.

Masterson to the Cardinals per Joe and Daryl. He's pretty good (FIP of 4ish), but I don't fear that Cardinals offense. I don't think one starter will put them over the top unless the Brewers sink themselves.

Hindsight criticism is what in-game-threads are for! I can see why some people wouldn't like the move... I just feel like we're going to have limited runners in scoring position against Price so you need to go for it when you can.

I can't decide if I dislike that baserunning decision or not. You gotta try and pile on the runs when you can against Price. Might've been worth the risk.
