  2. Could we perhaps take the 18/21 discussion to the off topic forum? It's rather interesting and perhaps we could explore it further in that area.

However- I will be happy to put my guys (all of my guys, none of this cross-playing junk) against your team of misfits. lol

  8. It's just about time for the annual Brewerfan.net Winter Meetings! Each year around the time that Pitchers and Catchers report to Spring Training, we here at Brewerfan.net get together and talk about the upcoming season. It's a time that baseball geeks like all of us can get together for the common cause: talking baseball, and tippin' a few beers. We charge nothing for the event, ya just pay for your own drinks or food. We have been known to give away some shirts, etc. from time to time, so be prepared for that. This year, we will be hosting the event in the city it truly belongs, Milwaukee. As a matter of fact, we are going to be right by Miller Park. Our bar has been chosen due to its baseball atmosphere, food, and private seating availability. We will have a back room for our event so it won't be terribly smoky, we can converse without screaming, and we can get beers quickly, which, is a priority for me. The Bar: Fourth Base The Location: 5117 W National Ave Milwaukee, WI 53214 The Date: February 23rd (Saturday) The Time: 8 pm (ish) In order for me to create order, I need to know how many spaces to order. Please let me know that you will be attending and if you are bringing a guest or two, or several. You don't need to be some prolific poster (Lord knows I'm not). You don't need to be someone with 10,000 posts, you just need to be someone who wants to come out, eat, drink, be merry, and talk some Brewers Baseball (which, I know you can do). Also, due to the fact that this shindig is located within the hallowed walls of a tavern, ya gots to be 21 or older. So let me kick it off for you so you are not scared. I will be attending and my wife shall be happily at my side. That's 2 people so far!

  14. I dunno know why this came to me, but it did. I get a lot of dumb ideas and I decided to share this one. So let's all play a game. It's called "I can be more childish than you can Jamie." (my wife doubts it though) Complete this sentence: The camera at Miller Park zoomed in on me and put me on the Jumbo Tron, I'd........ Pretend I was looking into a mirror and check my hair.
  15. This is a magical link. In 2006, we launched our first softball team which plays on Thursday nights at Sijan Field, Milwaukee. In 2007, Madison area site members got into the act and we started a team out there. In 2008, due to high demand, there is going to be a SECOND Milwaukee area team formed. We currently need a few individuals to sign up for that second team. Our preferred night will be Wednesdays, but we are at the mercy of rec. dept. openings. Roster spots are first come, first serve, and you need not be a site member. You do however, need to be a male. I'm sorry, but at this time, we are not able to secure a Co-Ed team. We can discuss this for 2009 though. If you want to play slow pitch softball and experience all the glory that is associated with being named to a Brewerfan.net roster spot, come to THIS THREAD and find out more details or to sign up. That way, when walking down Main Street USA and you over hear all the ladies asking each other "Who is that guy? Isn't he a Brewerfan.net softballer? Who'd have thought we'd see such a hunk on -our- street?" You can then point your thumbs at your chest and proudly say: "This guy." +Disclaimer+ Brewerfan.net softball can be habit forming. We are not liable for the "hotness" or "coolness" oozing from your pores due to your being on the team. Please play responsibly.

  18. Milwaukee Rec Memo pdf dealy if want it The team fee will be $215.00 City of Milwaukee player fee is $12.00 Non-Milwaukee resident fee is $24.00 We will also need to chip in for practice and game balls.
  19. We're hoping that the Thursday Night League played at Sijan #3 is going to have an opening for us. This way, there could very well be two Brewerfan teams playing at the same time and if there are players needed either way, it'll work out. (Perhaps not for some guys on both teams, but we'll figure that out) Unfortunately, we do not know which League or night will be available to us as a new team and we will not know until Friday 01 February at the earliest. Please, as Kenny requested, state the night you prefer. Questions should be posted as well.
  20. So far, your new captain Kenny (bball123h) and I have been going over some details and we have found that it would be best for us to try securing a spot in the following leagues: MS-166 or MS-161(preferred) (Wednesdays preferred) Both these leagues play at Sijan Field, which is where team #1 plays on Thursdays. MS-166 plays its games on Thursdays with games starting at 6:15, 7:15, 8:15, and 9:15. These leagues are 14 weeks long. edit; remove attention grabber.

  22. i think most accidental ODs are because a person has developed such a tolerance for something that they have increased the dose they are consuming to dangerous levels trying to get the effect that they got the first few times they used the substance. I didn't really see that point of view, but it certainly makes sense.
  23. call me ignorant but how do you "accidentally" overdose on something? He/she knows they are taking the pills so ... I suppose I'm ignorant as well. I don't know how you could "accidentally" OD on anything either besides forgetting you took some and then some more but even then, you would most likely need to be taking quite a bit of medication. I'd have to guess that the pill companies put just enough in each pill to make you sleepy or less sore or whatever. I'd have to say that if the bottle says a dosage is 2 pills and you take 4, you won't die. I'm only guessing here but it sure seems to me that if you die from pills it's because you meant to.
