  1. I'll be completely honest here, and this is my personal take. Reading game threads this year is like reading Packer game threads on fb. (And im a packer fan) "Bad call. We got screwed. Always happens to us" etc etc etc etc. It feels like with the advent of pitchtrax and gametrax everyone is either suddenly an expert or thinks the umps will stop sucking. Neither of these are true. Well, I'm not a Packer fan, so I can't say anything to that. Also, if you've read many of my posts you've noticed I don't single out 'us ' getting screwed. The whole thing is awful. It becomes frustrating to see something that is easily fixable messed up time and time again. I'll be sure to point out any time another poster mentions something that 'Bogs' down 6 pages.
  2. Sure... But its a little overbearing when one of every four posts is a complaint about a bad pitch call. Extremely repetitive.... Same could be said about villar, Braun, Davis, scooter, pitcher x, reliever y. It's an in game threads. Strike calls are consistently wrong. We aren't creating threads every other day. We simply continue to point out the absurdity of the strike zone...in game threads. Edit: I guess my question is...if we can't express frustration with certain pitches in at bats...where is it supposed to go?
  3. Also, isn't in game threads meant for quick off the cuff frustration remarks?
  4. To be fair...i have complained on both sides. But in response that it's the same treatment...it isn't. I've posted the link to the study a few times. The Brewers are in the bottom 3rd and negative in strikes called for them. Like negative 100...whereas the Dodgers were like plus 240 strike calls...through June only. It's clear strike zones are influencing games. If you want to believe it or not is up to you. So, the umps ARE out to get us then? I didn't intend to day that. I specifically pointed to last night where it was a benefit. Overall, it isn't even is all.

  6. Pathetic d by Santana again..but wow. The first pitch to Bell was a ball? Haha. Find new jobs.
  7. Can't wait for machines. These guys have gotten so bad. This guy loves the high and outside ones. I wonder what it will take to make the change? I don't recall ever seeing it this bad. Not just on pitch trax but guys walking away shaking their head. A high profile blown strike or ball call in series? And yes, Santana struggling right now. Even the save last night was a joke. 2 clear balls out of the zone.
  8. I don't have a video, but want the Koskie play a foul ball and he like fell backwards or something?
  9. Some people insist on making moves purely for the same of making moves. If we had the DH in the NL I would have been for adding Bruce, but like others have said he has no where to play here.
  10. Yes. This mess is completely on the players. They've flat out embarrassed themselves since the break. He's been a solid part of the problem in multiple games since the break. Terrible decisions with the staff... not just ones that didnt work... putting in the worst in high leverage... but hell they are big leaguers... if they aren't good thats on them right. Managers do pit their teams in position to fail. CC has a few since ASB where he's guilty of that. I have nothing to back this up, but I'm under the belief that managers have very little to do with the final record. Maybe plus or minus 1 win.
  11. I've come to grips with the fact that we may never finish above them in the standings...ever again.
  12. Broxton rung up on a ball again. That has to be frustrating to happen in back to back at bats.
  13. But, did you see their right fielder catch that seed?
  14. I mean, I get it. But Jared Hughes has a 3.74 FIP and a 116 ERA+. That's pretty solidly above-average. Not crap. I just don't see a situation in which he's not a better choice than Drake to start the seventh. True, but I'm pretty sure Barnes is similar and most want him for mop up innings.
  15. Could we please just throw the pitch...or have the 3rd baseman stand near the runner...or catch a ball that should be an error but doesn't get counted as one...
  16. Send the link. Would be interested in reading that. Seems pretty unlikely to me given a 162 game schedule unless you are arguing that the umpires have nefariously conspired against the Brewers. Would suggest that not scoring runs and poor bullpen outings have led to far more losses this season for us than anything else. I posted it once in this thread already. At the time of the study the Brewers were 3rd from the bottom in strike calls while hitting. In the bottom 10ish when looking at both pitching and hitting. The Dodgers had benefited from like 250 strike calls.
