  1. I use the mutant or the stealth. Both of which I never have any problems with.
  2. COD, amazing, I am terrible at shooter games and I am hooked.
  3. Ive wondered the same for ps2, even thought I have a ps3. I still like the madden for ps2, my friend said he was pretty sure they were not going to make it for either system. He could easily be wrong.
  4. Its funny because I just told my friend that exact same thing...silly. Just fall on it.
  5. You worry about that when Cordero can't pitch anymore. However if you keep trotting out Spurling, Stetter, Wise etc. without using your best option, you're going to get burned. Also what a lot of people seem to forget is you actually have to shut the other team down if you want to get to the save situation so why not go with your best pitcher to shut them down. One thing's for sure I'd feel much more comfortable with Spurling, Stetter, King, Aquino, Wise etc. in the game with a lead knowing we can give up at least one run and not lose than bringing them in with the game tied knowing if they give up a run the game is over with our best reliever still sitting in the bullpen. Point well taken. I do agree about the save being silly. I just dont feel comfortable with anyone besides CoCo and Shouse. You are right, gotta get there first.
  6. Just unbelievable. Ned, you need to get to the next inning in order to have a chance to win the game. Odds are that Coco will give you a better chance to get to the next inning than Matt Wise will. It doesn't matter if you save Coco for the save situation, if there never is a save situation. Coco > rest of our bullpen. Matt Wise recently < Joe Winkelsas. IF, they make it to the next inning...then who do you go to? Lose, Lose situation for Ned in my opinion. CoCo shuts em down..we do to the next inning THEN we lose... I have a feeling everyone would have said...why CoCo so soon? No chance to win for him.
  7. Stop second guessing! Maybe it was a "gut" feeling. Whatever it was, I think we should just assume he had a good reason for it, and not question it any further. There's so much that goes on in a major league dugout, you couldn't possibly understand enough to formulate a valid opinion on the subject. Everybody makes mistakes. How do you know that a different manager wouldn't do the same stupid things over and over and over and over and over and over and over, just like Ned? It's easy to question the decison now that it didn't work out, but what if Bush had hit a homerun? What if Braun's defensive replacement made an awesome defensive play and then hit the game-winning homerun?? You'd be hailing Ned a genius. Instead, you're questioning his moves because you HATE him. Stop asking questions. Support Ned, or get off the Brewer bandwagon... I realize you are poking fun at him...and I am fine with that. You and I have disagreed in the vent forum for sometime. I was not able to watch the end of the game. I cannot say anything to protect or defend Ned in this situation. What you said though...I think is true. Do I agree with it? Maybe or maybe not. I wish I would have seen the end of the game. BUT...for the rest of THIS season he is our manager..you can hate him...but he will be there all year. Everyone expected this team to win 82-86 games. IF Ned gets them there...I dont think you can be that upset. He has won some games with his "silly" calls, as well as lost some.
  8. They lost a lot of close games like this to start the year. -- They have had their bad luck as well. I am aware...just lately it seems like they have won every game from behind. No lead seems safe to these guys. I was blowing off steam more than anything. Thanks for the reminder thoughhttp://static.yuku.com//domainskins/bypass/img/smileys/happy.gif Without there horrible start they would be far ahead of us.
  9. That one-game playoff @ Wrigley could be real fun... I thought that I read somewhere that we won the playoff coin toss or something? No?
  10. How many 8th and 9th inning comebacks have the cubs had this year? EVERYTHING is going there way. Making me sick!
  11. I don't think so either, that's why I brought it up. You implied it was a decision that was made without the use of reason, and I was pointing out that such decisions do involve reason. Maybe not a statistical reason, but a reason nevertheless. You began this entire thing by stating that managers don't really need to use reason for all their decisions. You are right. I should have said it differently What I implied was that sometimes it is just a gut thing. If you use the "gut" excuse too much its not good. Sometimes, its good and I am ok with it.
  12. As far as Counsell and Dillon go, there should be some kind of reason as to why they played. Whether it be some kind of matchup advantage, somebody's banged up or needs rest, etc. If the reason is just "I don't know, I just felt like playing them," then it's silly even if they do have hits today. I agree with you. I for one think Braun could use a day off. As someone has already mentioned he has played a lot and is only a rookie. No reasons why we shouldn't expect someone to step up for him. Happened to work so far today. I dont think Ned just threw those two in just because. If he did, I will be behind you whole heartedly.
  13. Are you saying that you think it's okay for managers to make decisions that don't involve reason? Why even have a manager then? Maybe the Brewers can just buy a magic 8-ball and keep in down in the dugout. Did I say its OK for managers to make decisions without reasons? Never, you may want to reread it. I said there doesn't ALWAYS need to be reasons. Sometimes a gut feeling works, sometimes not. Stats are good for the most part, I never said that they werent. Sometimes you have got to go out on a limb. Today, Counsell and Dillon have the hits. Weird, stats would have said not to go with them. He did, it worked. Weird. You seem to know most everything. Ill expect to see you in a dugout somewhere in 08.http://static.yuku.com//domainskins/bypass/img/smileys/wink.gif
  14. I don't believe Ned brought that up as a reason though, and that is where the problem lies. I forgot that there has to be reasons behind everything.
  15. Good job Shouse and Soup. I appreciate it.
  16. If the brewers win and the Cubs loose tonight, the brewers would pick up half a game. So lets go Cardinals! Wouldnt it be 1 full game? 2 games back now...they lose we win. Only 1 game back. Or did I just miss something.
  17. Is the ump going to call strikes?
  18. 2 innings wasted for Yovani tonight. What was he doing in there in a 12-0 game? I dont know the exact pitch count, but I am sure he is on a pitch count thing more then an innings thing. You might think that he should save his pitches. That is one way to look at it. I think you need to let him pitch, keep that experience and confidence. Just me though. I still like Ned, he makes me mad at times but I have confidence. YaY
  19. Hart Gross Weeks Fielder Braun Jenks Hall Estrada P I got 4 outfielders there...unless you are counting Hall as an infielder. At this point, I dont.
  20. Pretty sure you cannot.
  21. There is a tournament in the West Bend area over the 2nd to last weekend in August. Might be alittle bit late to get in. I also dont have the direct information because I will be playing on a different team then my norm. But yea, normally the small towns get tournament going. I have played in a tournament the past 5 weekends all withing 20 min of my hometown of Beaver Dam. All have about 5 quality teams. Would be nice to see some new talent. Too bad I didnt see this sooner as we are playing in one in Fox Lake this weekend. Thats about an hour+ away from Milwaukee and in the Appleton range as well.
  22. Oh definatly. Infact, I just saw a commercial about the playoffs and it was all about the Brewers and people counting them out...but they will love to prove them wrong. I just got real excited!
  23. I would say no. I heard someone mention that Dillon can play 1b if needed. I do not think he can still hit....that is without looking at his stats anyways.
  24. Cappy had a shutout going and only faced 4 batters in the 4th so I have no idea what he could have done there. Unless I didnt read this right, he did not have a shutout going into the 4th. But he got yanked at the right time in my opinion.
  25. When we went we were about 3-4 blocks away and it was 100 bucks a night. Pretty nice sized rooms and looked right over the rams football stadium. I would suggest, if you are going to be drinking alot in/around the hotel, you bring beer in from Wisconsin, or dont buy it directly in St. Louis. When we went we checked out the Budweiser tours. That was pretty interesting. Hope you have a good time!
