  1. I am starting to wonder about Counsell, and if he is a guy we want to mange this team going forward. If he is unable to see a simple thing like NOT playing Schafer every damn game when we have guys that are part of our future riding the bench, then it makes me nervous...
  2. Parra has been virtually a non-factor since traded, I think we won this trade by a landslide as well as the Astros trade... Our future looks exciting!
  3. Especially right now, our season is over, why on earth would we not be seeing what Reed has to offer? This last couple of weeks should be for seeing the young guys as much as we can. Running guys out there like Schafer is just maddening.
  4. So so tired of Logan Schafer. I hope this is the last we see of him in a Brewer uniform (2015 season) With the deepness of our youthful outfield, he serves zero purpose on this team, ZERO!
  5. [sarcasm]Yes, no good GM has ever been on the losing side of a trade. I think we should re-consider[/sarcasm] Your sarcasm, though misplaced, has been noted....thank you.
  6. It is starting to look like we fleeced Houston on this trade... Gomez has been next to zero help to them since the trade. Now we have a member of that front office as our GM... I hope he fares better with us.
  7. "Like"
  8. Whew, I thought I was the only one who felt this way...
  9. I've mentioned this before and it pretty much fell on deaf ears. At this point, how could anyone not want the Brewers to lose as much as possible? Is it really going to make you feel better if the Brewers finish with 75 wins instead of 68? I'd much rather have the money for the draft next year than have a couple of meaningless wins. It's a no-brainer for me. I want a successful future by any means it takes to get there. If that means we lose out, so be it. Losing to the Cards at this point just doesn't register with me. This is a lost season, so how far the Cardinals get just doesn't matter, at least I'll have someone to root against come play-off time. The Cards are the Cards, they pretty much own us, so winning a meaningless game or 2 to them is just getting in our way of a better future.
  10. I do not understand why Herrera is getting so many starts... I just don't get it.
  11. So let me get this straight, Garza pitched like absolute crap, loses his spot in the rotation, refused to pitch out of the bullpen, and is now being rewarded for these behaviors by being sent home for the rest of the season to be with his wife and kids without a dock in pay? Another perk for his behavior, he has also been told that he has one of the starting 5 spots for the 2016 season? This is ridiculous.
  12. meh. I thought it would be a lot better than it was to be honest. Entertaining at times, but simply forgettable in my opinion.
  13. relating to this thread: http://www.msn.com/en-us/tv/emmys-gallery/in-memoriam-2015/ss-AAdOe9s?ocid=mailsignout
  14. I'm trying to come up with one reason, just one reason, why we'd want Mauer. We would be giving up our two best tradeable players for Mauer and 2 or 3 prospects, but those prospects would not / could not include Sano or Buxton? A giant HELL NO please...
  15. I sure hope so, this year's offense was a bore to watch typically...
  16. Ummmm, I'm not sure this is the place for a political statement like that... Those could surely be fighting words...
  17. Matt Garza will be shut down for the rest of the 2015 season. Garza isn't thrilled by the decision and reportedly refused general manager Doug Melvin's offer to pitch out of the bullpen. The Brewers will explore other options with Garza sidelined though it's unclear who his immediate replacement will be. Counsell said Garza will return to the rotation in 2016. The right-hander went 5-14 this year with a 5.63 ERA in 26 appearances. Source: Todd Rosiak on Twitter Sep 5 - 5:08PM
  18. and losers is what we are... I hate losing too, but I have accepted every loss as one step closer to a high draft choice, but now, all of a sudden, they start winning, ruining my new "acceptance" attitude... It is such hard work being a Brewers fan.
  19. but Zachy would have sounded just swell.
  20. I have to believe that Jimmy Nelson will be our future #2 or better, this kid can be so great at times, and I have to think he will only get better with time...
  21. That is awesome! Any chance you'd take bobbles in trade? If not, no big deal...
  22. I saw a lot of kids strike out, followed by a sound pounding of the bat in the dirt... Turned me off to be honest. Yes, I know they are just kids, but kids on a BIG stage. They should be taught that how you act in public goes a long way in how people perceive you in regular, normal life.
  23. Except for when running the bases. He continues to allow himself to be below mediocre while running the bases. Once his speed takes a big hit due to age (something that may have already started) his poor base running skills will be even more evident.
