  1. Has Kottaras ever played 1B for more than a fill in for a game or a late inning replacement? Is he such a good hitter that we'd throw him into a position he can't play? He's a horrible catcher defensively. His value is and should be based soley on his ability to pinch hit. Is he a good enough pinch hitter to take up a bench spot for that purpose alone. There will be those who disagree with this, but I think he is very over-rated. When the discussion started, it was about defensive vs offensive catchers. Maldonado has proven to be both, so where does this leave Kottaras? Gone, that's where...
  2. but what would Wolf do for a catcher when he pitches?
  3. nope, didn't bunt pop out, just a big lazy pop out behind SS
  4. How did we get a baserunner, missed it... No hitter still in tact?
  5. Rock: Anybody that can walk out there is going to be in this line-up. Except for Taylor Green...
  6. ^this RR is no manager, he is a robot, he doesn't manage anything. Well, that isn't true, he manages to come up with cute nicknames for his players, that has to be worth something.
  7. Gomez should never be hitting in the top 7 spots, EVER! No Taylor Green makes me think he must have had relations with RR's daughter. I can't think of any other reason he is doing nothing but riding the pine in games where we can have a DH... Instead of getting Rickie a day off in the field, he needs to have a day or 2 off completely. I just don't understand the way we do things.
  8. Hart gets too much credit here... He is a Brewer, so we generally like him, but he is not as good as a lot of us here make him out to be.
  9. and on top of all of that, I must apologize to those who frequently post in these threads. My hate for our manager has clouded my vision, and I was not able to recognize that some of you are probably tired of my act. I will try and refrain from commenting so frequently on my RR feelings. I said I will try, but I can't make any promises as I tend to let my heart do the talking all too frequently. That said, I will be skipping tomorrow's game, as I said earlier, so hopefully, Marcum performs so well that even RR can't screw it up!
  10. Reporter: Is the reason you pulled Manny because of the righty on righty matchup in the next inning? RR: Yes, I have Loe and Veras in the bullpen, I shouldn't have to leave Parra in there. HORSEPUCKY! That was the extent of the questions asked regarding the situation... How about being a manager and managing the game and quit being a robot. he absoluetly has no clue how to run a ballclub. The players may like him, and he may be a great guy, but at some point, the players are not going to respect his managing capabilities. When that happens, you can kiss this season goodbye and start the head-on, full fledged fire sale. If Attanasio and Melvin can't see what a joke of a manager this guy is, then they are as much at fault as he is. I can't stand this any longer. I physically can not handle this garbage any longer. I am going to stay away from the game tomorrow night. As much as I enjoy watching Marcum pitch lately, I'm not going to watch, or listen. It's time for a break.
  11. I'm going to watch this post game, barf bag in hand, and hope to God that one of the reporters there has the stones to ask him why he took Parra out of the game when he did. His answer will be the typical nonsense, but he needs to be grilled.
  12. Can it possibly get any worse than to be outmanaged by Nedley Freaking Yost? It is fitting really.
  13. How can you get tired of the RR bashing, he has proven time and time and time and time and time and time and time again that he is unable to handle this job.
  14. RR is a knob. I hope someone asks him why he pulled Parra there... Those post game press conferences let him off the hook far too easliy. RR is an absolute train-wreck of a manager. I can not stomach this much longer. Hitting Conrad last night and pulling Parra tonight just add to the long list of blunders by this clown. (I am not foolish enough to think it was a lock that Maldonado comes through last night, but he surely had a better chance than Conrad)
  15. I'd turn this off, but I am starting to enjoy the pain. There is no possible chance Veras can pull something out of his butt here, game over.
  16. There was no reason, NONE what-so-ever, for Parra to come out after the way he pitched. RR SUCKS, plain and simple. He can't manage the line-up, and he can't manage the bullpen when it really matters. He needs to be fired.
  17. I agree with the last 2 posts...makes no sense. Manny probably doesn't have a cute nickname, so he has to come out.
  18. Yes Rock, Maldaonado can get a pretty good hack at a fastball, which is why he should have hit last night when he was pulled for Conrad by our pathetic excuse of a manager.
