  1. I'm speechless. Except those words. And these ones.
  2. While I am no expert, it's my opinion that if you're ordering a build-up from Dell, your money is best spent on extra RAM over a bigger HD or even (depending) a faster processor.
  3. i'm thinking you could easily make that at home and try it out, although i'd bet it'd be all crumbly and look more like Raisinettes. Baconettes.Yes, I'm planning to try it before too long. I'd keep the bacon in strips, melt some dark chocolate and dip/coat.
  4. I was happy to hear that they didn't change it. Even though it's going to be a pain for students and profs alike, there was talk that they'd push Friday exams back to Monday/Tuesday if they had to, which would have been a riot-inducing disaster.
  5. It was disappointing to learn that the candy bar above is just a chocolate bar with bacon pieces mixed in. I want me some bacon with chocolate on it - not the other way around.
  6. Somehow, it doesn't seem as bad as I was expecting, even though the forecasts were spot on. Maybe because it's just all snow here in Madison (which is nice). Wore my snowpants to work today.
  7. Clear driveways, meet thy death.
  8. I have some turkey bacon in my fridge right now. I've found that if you don't cook the crap out of it, it gets leathery/tough. It actually cooks up the best in my toaster oven.
  9. I have yet to try chocolate-covered bacon. It sounds, in a word . . . fantabulous.
  10. http://www.vigilantfreedom.org/images/bacon.jpg Mmmmmm . . . . . bacon . . .
  11. This is completely tangential, but the timestamp on your post is really wacky, pitch. Posts: 4130 12/17/56 2:29 PM Brewerfan.net Moderator
  12. Looks like I've found something new to dip my bacon in.
  13. Bringing this thread back to mention that I want to bust out my smoker but the weather has not cooperated. Just one mild day, mother nature! (*fist shake*)
  14. The same reason that bacon is not a topping option on every orderable food product. Utter madness.
  15. You are a smart man. Her birthday is on the 23rd of its respective month, so Rickie Weeks is now in play.
  16. Actually, my own man-love for JJ Hardy drew me to purchase a replica jersey for myself, so unless she wants to be all weirdo-cutsie "Look, we haz the same jersey!", JJ may be off the table. He's all mine.
  17. Ah, yes, Stairmaster. This reminds me - there is no requirement that the guy be on the current roster.
  18. So, my g/f will be getting a customized women's cut Brewers jersey for Christmas featuring the player name/number of her choice. She has not yet made a decision about a player for the very good reason of having no cause to make such a choice as (hopefully) she doesn't know it's coming. If she reads this here and finds out, I will be too overcome with joy at the fact that she has visited BF.net on her own volition to mind the lack of surprise. Here is your chance to offer your wisdom as to who she should choose to sport on her back next season. While she will likely not care what any of you think and simply make her own choice based on some form of favoritism, if you state a good case I will share it with her. Have at.
  19. Got a Hardy jersey (yesterday). Thanks for the link!
  20. I was in Chicago this past weekend and visited Winter Wonderfest at Navy Pier. Totally worth doing - it's a pretty neat event.
  21. I don't recall this precisely (at all), but I do remember at least the City of Madison experimenting a few years ago with a liquid de-icer that was a salt alternative and was meant to work at lower temperatures. I believe the cost was higher. Was it . . . calcium-based? In any case, salt won't do much good today, other than provide you some traction on the ice, of which sand does a better job IMO.
  22. All I'm hoping is that this reduces the chances of Sheets signing with the Yankees.
  23. Right on cue? Here in Madison, it's the first truly bitterly cold day of the year. Walking to work was miserable.
  24. The deal is now being reported at 7 Yrs, $161 MM, with an opt-out clause after three. It seems clear to me that the Brewers were used as a bargaining chip here.
  25. With the Yankees apparently closing in on Derek Lowe, perhaps we will not see Ben Sheets in pinstripes? Though, I suppose this really wouldn't have much of an effect on New York's ability to give Ben 2 yrs/32 MM or something.
