  1. Just turned on the game - any Dave Bush sightings? Is he in the dugout?
  2. (Guy goes into the dugout and takes a bat to the water cooler.) Rock: "Now, you see, that's not intentional. That's not intentional. Guys are told over and over to get a handle on their aggression and they just can't do it. They just can't do it, and you see stuff like this happen."
  3. Via Tom Haudricourt's tweet.
  4. First two pitches to Escobar . . . where were those calls for Gallardo?
  5. Makes me wonder if we'll see a new elbow pad for Braun when he does come back.
  6. I love Braun's toughness, but that elbow is going to swell up like mad. I'd rather he was out with ice around it.
  7. Play by play - I can hear it too. I think it's Darron Sutton.
  8. Wow, our 8th and 9th hitters just produced a huge run. Amazing.
  9. 467 feet on Braun's HR. 8 feet further than Rickie and good for 3rd longest this year in MLB.
  10. Macha's Mysterians (I also like Team Zim-Zam http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif )
  11. Anyone else outside to see this last night? I was with some friends outside at The Malt House in Madison (a must-visit in Madison, when you're here) and I had my back to it, but I turned around after seeing a big flash out of the corner of my eye and hearing several big pops and booms. The only glimpse I got was a few shards of, presumably, a meteor that were just flickering out. It looked almost like a big firework in the distance that hadn't exploded properly.
  12. Just turn the sound off already. Yeah, for the best. Muted now.
  13. Sure sounded like it. Sacrificing is questionable at best in the 6th and 5th innings. It is flat out dumb in the top of the first I would say it's always dumb with Albert Pujols coming up. And an extra level of dumb if you factor in that Joe would've had Albert try for the sac fly that he happened to hit accidentally there.
  14. Wow, Rickie!! Wooooo! And I'm glad to hear that Prince has finally "earned" enough credibility that Joe Morgan says he's willing to stop calling him Cecil. I want Fire Joe Morgan back for times like this.
  15. Joe Morgan chastises Ryan Ludwick for not getting Lopez to third (after taking a walk)? "That's why you have a #2 hitter who can do just that; of course, Ludwick didn't get the opportunity to do that." And Jon Miller tries to save him by spouting some gibberish about how maybe there's "residue" in La Russa's managerial style from his time in the AL forever ago? And that's why Ludwick didn't drop an idiotic bunt? My head is ready to explode already.
  16. Bench Hart immediately for Gerut. Put his butt on the pine. Completely inexcusable.
  17. So, who's gonna take "DIEGO"?
  18. 2006 Rematch (pending miracle)! I'm in! The way BC has taken Miami apart with speed, I think the Badgers would've done the same thing. That said, I'm happy to get the best goaltenders in the country out of the tournament.
  19. I never know if I'm overreacting, but I just despise hearing from managers during a game. I can deal with it during spring broadcasts, fine. But this is the regular season - get out of the dugout, there is a game going on. We never hear anything of substance that we couldn't otherwise get from the post-game interview. Same goes for the on-field camera guy to get that one stupid up-shot of a guy crossing the plate after his home run trot. Get that guy off of the field. [/end rant]
