  1. I live in New York state, and right now my cable says they're showing the Cubs/Cardinals and not the Mets/Brewers. One more reason to hate the Cubs and Cardinals.
  2. the reds series last weekend was just a little bit exciting.Fair point.
  3. I don't know how good/bad they are, but I know they are boring. I'm not saying this just to be annoying. This has got to be the least interesting Brewer team to watch in several seasons, which is disappointing because I expected they'd be fun this year. Edit: Axford isn't boring.
  4. I want to like Greinke, but right now I don't. He has, probably unfairly, become the focus of my Brewers' angst. His starts against the Cubs and Yankees, when I would have liked to see him step up, were awful. I put Sunday's loss on him because of the 3 runs he allowed after the Brewers scored 5. The Twins were back in the game immediately, and it's on him. I look at his numbers, however, and they're aren't nearly as discouraging as my purely subjective feelings. They aren't as good as I would have hoped, but they aren't as bad as I expect them to be either.
  5. This team is quickly approaching 'not worth the time' status. Time to follow the box scores and stop watching the same game play out over and over.
  6. Axford had to be thinking he wouldn't be pitching tonight. And now he is. Anyone think that matters?
  7. Batting practice tonight. They built the 3 game lead just to kick us fans harder didn't they.
  8. At least they're not about to get swept by the Nationals.
  9. I think it's more likely that he's the kind of player who shines in Kansas City when no one is watching. I hope I'm wrong and this is just the Yankees being the Yankees. (I also hope he's not hurt).
  10. I live in New York so I have to avoid watching/ hearing about the Yankees all the time. I think they should only get half a run when a player who was previously the best player on another teams scores or drives one in. They represent everything that is wrong about baseball, and watching them makes me like the game less.
  11. Perhaps it's just a reflection of the relative quality of the teams. They lost 2 of 3 to the Rays, but I wouldn't say they were pathetic. Against the Sox and Yanks, well, most teams look pathetic.
  12. Nice win. Not to be too pessimistic, but now they can get swept by the Yankees and still be in first place.
  13. I know several of the Twins players in this series from seeing the Rochester Redwings a few times this year, so I think that is further evidence.
