  1. Was E.T. hiding in the left-field corner on that hit by Lucroy?
  2. Has anybody suggested that McGehee shouldn't be hitting 5th?
  3. I wonder if there is a Brewer who bats more often in 0-2 counts than Weeks.
  4. Why was the infield in? It's the second inning, isn't an out more important than a run at this point?
  5. Sometimes I think they should just give him a DVD of every at bat Ichiro has ever had. I know they are very different players, but it couldn't hurt. Whenever I see Ichiro swing and miss I wonder how he'd EVER get a hit.
  6. Seriously? That was bad, but not the worst inning ever. The worst inning ever was the bottom of the 8th on 4/23 against the Astros. It included this gem: Erick Almonte hit into fielder's choice double play, third baseman Chris Johnson to catcher Humberto Quintero to shortstop Angel Sanchez to second baseman Bill Hall to catcher Humberto Quintero. Yuniesky Betancourt out at home. Jonathan Lucroy out at 3rd. Erick Almonte to 1st.
  7. Yep, I agree with this completely. I think it must have been the relatively high hopes coming into this year, but I don't recall being this numb about the Brewers in a while. Other years I've been angry, or hopeful, this year I'm just resigned to this team being what it is. Hopefully, they continue on top, or around the top, and it will all work out.
  8. Assuming the Brewers don't come back (but hoping they do), any opinions about a 2 and 4 run against Boston and Tampa?
  9. Good question, and I'd follow up with why don't we hit more 3 run shots?
  10. McGehee is playing better, but for me it's not as much about getting him out of the 5 spot as it is about giving Hart some significant time there to see how it works. I think he'd be a productive 5 hitter, and I don't think it could hurt the team to give it a shot.
  11. I follow and basically root for all the AL central teams come playoff time, but I root for the White Sox over all of them because I moved to northern Indiana in the late 90s and it was an easy trip to take in a game. I came to enjoy the Sox thing which is to some degree an attempt to be the anti-Cubs, which I'm all for. The exception is the Twins, a team I can't stand. That's a hold over from the Brewers AL days mostly, because I just didn't like them back then, for no real reason other than I cheer against all MN teams.
  12. Well, we did get screwed. I think even the fans are tired. It's been a long time since an off day, and the last week has been trying, especially coming after the previous week which was so good.
  13. The crowd was pretty fired up in the 6th, and it didn't seem to help.
  14. Great at bat. He seems to be coming around. Hopefully the power comes back too.
  15. Of the starting rotation, I'm always most annoyed by Gallardo's rough starts. Especially in games like this one that could have (maybe still will be?) a really satisfying win.
  16. Wow. Working this afternoon and just checked in. I guess this one will be coming off the DVR without being watched. Looks like Greinke didn't pitch too well, is that the case?
  17. I've got one more half inning in me. Let's make it a big one Crew.
