  1. Wood is ripe for a blown save, bottom of the order heroics.
  2. I tuned in late, Powell is talking about a Gallardo injury. He stayed in, right? How bad did it look?
  3. they'll start getting meaningful hits eventually, right?
  4. How long til we get to see Jeff Weaver pitching in games like this?
  5. I wonder if there is anything good on YouTube tonight. How about this: Will it Blend - Baseball.
  6. Games like this are easier to handle then seeing them get up big and watching them give it away. Still I'd prefer it was against just about any other team. When do the Cubs come to Milwaukee?
  7. You're typing with a gun in your mouth? Impressive.
  8. Are Cubs fans getting worse every year - yes. On TV they showed someone in the crowd holding a sign that read 'best fans in the world.' If you call yourself the best fans, then you are not the best fans.
  9. As irritated as I've been by the last few games, I hate it when they have days off, what am I supposed to do tonight? I agree with others who've said the crowds seemed quiet this weekend. I'm watching on TV from New York (I moved several years ago and rarely get back for games) and if I see another person sitting in the front row behind the plate on their phone I'm going to throw my remote through the screen. This team is so much fun to watch, if you've got those seats then watch the game!
  10. I think it was fine to let Bush hit. It was only the 6th inning of a 1 run game, and Hamels' pitch count was creeping up. You figure you'll get to the pen and get some runs when the top of the order comes back around. It worked, and it was off of Hamels' not the pen.
  11. That was a fine performance by Turnbow, as good as most of Gagne's saves so far.
  12. tomorrow's starter (Bush?) needs to go a complete game to rest the pen. What are the odds?
  13. I'm glad they won, it's still not very encouraging
  14. THats news to me. I'd think the Brewers expect pretty good things offensively from JJ. He always hit in the minors that's a good point, I just mean of all the players on the team he's the one who came up with a reputation for solid defense
  15. I wish JJ hit better too, but he's not on the team for his bat.
  16. come on Corey, my fantasy team could use a HR
  17. Turnbow seems to be the white flag this year.
  18. What I don't understand is how they look so bad when they lose. It seems like the nights they lose they are never really in the games. But, I may not be thinking rationally.
  19. It's not Ned's fault. It's Bill Hall's fault.
  20. Fun game yesterday. I'm just glad they didn't lose after having a 3 run lead like they did so many times last year. Any win is good, any win over the Cubs is great.
  21. 1. Weeks goes 30/30 with 150 ks 2. Parra wins 18 3. Crew win final 12 games to take central by a game over the Cubs
  22. Ws and Ls are a measure of team performance, not pitching performance. Look at Ben Sheets' career record versus his other numbers. I think his career W/L is a losing record.
  23. What are the odds that Weeks really breaks out this year?
  24. I feel like I'm watching Glendon Rusch
