  1. Makes the case crystal clear the need is the bullpen, not the starting pitching. In almost all of our games recently we have had leads only to have the bullpen blow the game. Hopefully the price for someone like Britton will come down closer to the deadline. We need to be able to win these 2-1, 3-2 games if we want to make it/succeed in the playoffs.
  2. Go to the full editor, click on the little button that says Video, copy link to youtube video in between the brackets. Looks something like this: youtubelink
  3. Being the chaser in a pennant race is way more fun than the front runner
  4. That video puts me in my happy place. Schadenfreude is a helluva drug.
  5. I live near DC and have been dying for the Crew to finally play at Camden. One thing that's cool is the Brewers Single A affiliate, the Carolina Mudcats, play in the same league as the Frederick Keys so I had a chance to go a game this summer. They're not in the same division so I think they only make 1-2 trips up to Frederick per year.
  6. Just got back from seeing Dunkirk. Mankind has found its way out of tighter situations than this, although this game might be a close #2.
  7. Long time coming for Broxton. I really like him and think he can be a solid MLB'er, but save for a few hot streaks he's been out of it most of this season.
  8. Not to excuse everything, but this team has had to deal with some HORRENDOUS strike zones recently
  9. Yeah I'd say I'm only moderately panik'ing. Pitching hasn't been awful, although we've had and blown leads in all(?) of our recent losses. However, it really seems like the offense is the big culprit here, horrific strike zones notwithstanding. Hopefully we can get those bats going again like they were before the break and get on a nice 7-3 streak.
  10. Trust in Stearns I say! With the 2 headed monster of Thames and Aguilar, it did make Cooper a bit expendable. Keep digging for gold, DS!
  11. Rogers would be my pick if only because when he finally came up he showed he could hang in the big leagues but just couldn't stay healthy
  12. I think if I were DS, I really would try to mine for relief help. I think with our offense we can get by with our rotation and having a few more reliable options in the pen would help if any one starter falters more.
  13. Quintana must be happy he doesn't have to move lol
  14. And the Eaton trade. I still think Giolito is going to be good. Yeah, that one too!
  15. Yeah between this and the Sale trade, White Sox are doing a good job piling up prospects.
  16. Maybe those "rival execs" weren't that off when they said the price for Quintana would be Brinson, Hader, Phillips. Yikes if this is now the price for a front-line starter.
  17. Jimenez and Cease were the Cubs' #1 and #2 prospects respectively according to MLB.com
