  1. I'm cool with Harper not "busting his butt" down to first for two reasons: (1) the season is over. No matter how hard he was running, the team's not getting to the playoffs with a win, and (2) for every one time he may have lollygagged it down to first, there were many more times he hustled his way to a double on hits that other guys would've jogged out for a single.
  2. I do quite frequently. From what I've heard, stick with "recycled" over "refinished." Recycled I think is more of just a wash as opposed to actually trying to refinish the cover of the ball which could lead to inconsistencies. I have purchased from both Lost Golf Balls and Golf Balls Direct. I have done both 4A and 5A balls from both places and have generally been ok with what I've received. Every once and a while the 4A ball will have some scrape on it, but if it does, it's not very deep and can still be used for a practice round. Golf Balls Direct is usually a little bit cheaper, especially on the shipping, and provides % off codes all the time.
  3. 13-year-old me got very excited watching this: http://screengrabber.deadspin.com/dudley-boyz-return-to-wwe-and-you-better-believe-there-1726269718
  4. Ugh I was at the game today and as soon as the ball was chopped to Garza I yelled: "He doesn't know how to throw to first!" I still have no idea how a pitcher can not understand how to throw to a base.
  5. He's the anti-Victor Santos
  6. So basically we should look at this as who has the better career: Banda or Davies?
  7. Adam McCalvy ‏@AdamMcCalvy 34s34 seconds ago Maybe Melvin mixed up the assignments. He's had a lot on his mind last 24 hrs. Brewers say Santana to Triple-A, rest to Double-A.
  8. Ha looked like Melvin was already reaching for the phone as he was leaving the TV booth!
  9. Joe Block ‏@joe_block 33s33 seconds ago All four prospects #Brewers acquire are age 21-22 Nice. Get some young guys in the system.
  10. Damn, wish we could've gotten Velasquez
  11. PURE SPECULATION, but I bet Appel is one of the prospects coming back
  12. Jason Heyward went for Shelby Miller straight up. Assuming Wheeler returns healthy from the TJ surgery, I think getting Wheeler+ is a fair return for an OF like Gomez. Wheeler is a really good pitcher, I agree that most are undervaluing him right now.
  13. Seconded. Also had lived my entire life (21 at the time) without the Brewers being in the playoffs. Still have Ueck's call etched in my mind: "SWING AND A DRIVE! LEFT CENTER AND DEEP..."
  14. Yeah that's the way I am looking at this streak. Even Aramis is showing a little life.
  15. Man all this winning is getting old. Must be why no one is posting in the IGT.
  16. The actual dog I don't mind...but all the merchandise and now the mascot version of Hank are extremely over the top and unnecessary. How many mascots does one team need? We currently have eight at this point (five racing sausages, Bernie, Barrelman, and "Hank"). How dare you forget about the Rally Rabbit!
  17. The contact play is dead! Long live the contact play!
  18. http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-sFji7bKikXo/UXS9XhKFibI/AAAAAAAAL1w/IiwDZtuN5bI/s1600/heywhahappened.png
  19. Welp, season's over. See you guys next year! Lohse with a Gallardo-esque opening inning
  20. He could also be an option as a RH at 1B
