  1. Some would certainly say it is. If I were going to point to Pujols though I'd look at the fact he watches his home runs for like an hour each and every time as showing up other teams more than any beast mode could. Agree, also watch what he does with the bat. Half the time it's thrown almost into the opponent's dugout. Very classy.
  2. Not sure if you're opposed to rap in general but this song always does the trick to get pumped up. Lyrics relate to what the Brewers going through too:
  3. Wow, what a catch! Hopefully that gives a spark to these anemic bats!
  4. I had a dream last night that Randy Wolf hit an improbable two run HR against Jason Motte to win the game. Can't really fathom how this would occur in tonight's game, but I have a feeling we win tonight and tomorrow too. Go Crew!
  5. He's been doing what Yuni tries to do by jumping on that early fastball. Gotta throw some junk to start with him.
  6. I think he has put on weight but I also think they cut the Yankee uniforms in such a way to make heavy guys look heavier. Probably a Steinbrenner thing to get David Wells to lose weight.. I always thought vertical stripes were supposed to be slimming? /blue
  7. Way to muscle it in to OF there Braun. It seems like all the D'Backs outfielders are playing really deep.
  8. Me too. Looked like a solid swing when he hit it then just kind of died in the air.
  9. I'm not so sure we can read too much into that. I mean, we all have been wishing the D'Backs would lose every game the past few weeks so the Brewers would lock up the #2 spot. They are chasing us and Daron is probably just saying what their fans are thinking too.
  10. The interesting thing is in the doc, Alou seems to say that he would've catch the ball. Plus in the interview he tries to compare himself to Buckner which I don't really see. Unless I haven't heard something, I don't see how that play has affected him to the same degree and Buckner/Bartman.
  11. Anyone else catch this last night? Thought it was a great look at the dark side of fandom. While I am generally quite happy to see the Cubs suffer, you can't help but feel for Bartman after watching it.
  12. Game must be out of reach. Wave has started and it's only the top of the fifth. Watch the freakin game!
  13. So what if he didn't. According to JSOnline, RRR said he wanted to give some guys a night off going into the playoffs. If tonight is the game for Braun then the team will deal. Plus, nothing prevents RRR from using Braun later in the game if it gets close. The Pirates do not scare me one bit. I know on any given night a team can lose, but I will take the Brewers lineup tonight with Braun available on the bench over that Pirates lineup every day.
