  1. If Spivey's put out, then Bennett's the third out. Obermueller shouldn't have gotten a chance to bat.
  2. With the Brewers' win and the Cubs' loss, the Brewers move a half game ahead of the Cubs. That just makes me smile.
  3. Man, Podsednik nearly gave me a heart attack with the way he caught the last out. Ugly inning for both teams.
  4. Nice quick 1-2-3 by Obie to get us right back in the dugout.
  5. Starting Lineups San Diego Sean Burroughs, 3B Mark Loretta, 2B Brian Giles, RF Phil Nevin, 1B Terrence Long, LF Jay Payton, CF Ramon Hernandez, C Khalil Greene, SS Dennis Tankersley, P Milwaukee Scott Podsednik, CF Craig Counsell, SS Ben Grieve, RF Geoff Jenkins, LF Lyle Overbay, 1B Junior Spivey, 2B Keith Ginter, 3B Gary Bennett, C Wes Obermueller, P I guess Nedley's taking a liking to Grieve in the #3.
  6. Tonight's lineups direct from the "What is Nedley smoking? file," sorry they aren't lined up or pretty. No. San Diego Milwaukee 1 Khalil Greene, SS Brady Clark, CF 2 Mark Loretta, 2B Craig Counsell, SS 3 Brian Giles, RF Ben Grieve, RF 4 Phil Nevin, 1B Geoff Jenkins, LF 5 Jay Payton, CF Lyle Overbay, 1B 6 Brian Buchanan, LF Junior Spivey, 2B 7 Ramon Hernandez, C Keith Ginter, 3B 8 Jeff Cirillo, 3B Chad Moeller, C 9 Brian Lawrence, P Doug Davis, P Yes, that is Brady Clark's name you see leading off.
  7. I like the five lefties at the top of the order, only because the Dodgers only have one LHP in the bullpen, and righties are hitting .267 off of him while lefties are hitting .292 off of him.
  8. Grieve third? Wow, Nedley is really getting creative. Really nice lineup.
  9. Nice job pitching by Brooks, hopefully he can do the same with the bat!
  10. I was about to write a post about how much Durrington getting PH was ticking me off. Then he hits a HR. Nice job Trent, although you still getting PH is ticking me off. Also, I hate that stupid behind the catcher camera shot. You can't see a darn thing with it.
  11. It seems like ever since the series in Pittsburgh the umpires have had it in for the Brewers. Terrible call after terrible call.
  12. That's a beautiful move Cappy has to first.
  13. Another complaint about Yost's managing: In the top of the 9th, why not bring Kolb in? What are we saving him for? Extra innings? At that point, with the score 4-3, and Gagne in the bottom of the inning, we absolutely need a scoreless inning, so why not bring in your best reliever? Wise gives up a run, and turned a tough task of 4-3 vs. Gagne into a darn near impossible task of 5-3 vs. Gagne.
  14. Nice play Counsell. Twice you should have been out, yet you manage to reach base, then decide to give them a third chance to get you out. Man, this game has been frustrating as hell to watch.
  15. Oh yeah Scotty!!! What was that about a slump?
  16. This might be the most pathetic inning of baseball I've ever seen.
  17. Why the heck was Obie batting with the bases loaded and 2 out in the 7th? Man, Ned must really have zero confidence in the bullpen.
  18. Am I the only one who thinks Ben Ford looks like the illegitimate child of Dave Weathers?
  19. The Wednesday night restriction was lifted this season, so Extra Innings and MLB.TV can show whatever they want on Wednesdays. The only restrictions are on Saturday afternoons when FOX is showing a game and Sunday nights. As far as whether or not the Brewer game will be available, I think that if you're in Wisconsin, all Brewer games will be blacked out on Extra Innings and MLB.TV. I hope I'm wrong though, it'd be great to see tonight's and tomorrow's game with the St. Louis broadcast.
  20. I probably will. I'm just a baseball junkie and a late night person. Being a night owl, it's nice that there's usually at least 1 west coast game on every night. As for tonight's game, if there is no local broadcast and they are advertising it as being on the package, it should be on. It will probably be the Cards broadcast, but take what you can get, right? I know ESPN has a broadcast tonight, so I'm surprised at the number of games listed for the package. The first two games of the season were also advertised to be on Extra Innings, but they were both blacked out. From what I understand, if you live in Wisconsin, you won't get any Brewer games on Extra Innings period, even if FSN doesn't broadcast it.
  21. You know a pet peeve of mine? On BBTN, whenever Richie hits a big HR and Ravech calls it, he'll yell "Richard Sexson!" I guess using his full name makes it cool or something. However, you'd think that it being ESPN, someone, anyone, would clue the moron in that his first name is Richmond, not Richard.
  22. Wow, what a beautiful piece of hitting by Hall. Here's hoping Clayton sees a lot more off days in the future.
  23. Well, that was a nice change of pace in the top of the 1st. Sheets throws 8 pitches, and doesn't throw a single ball, including two 3 pitch Ks.
