  1. This is a bit off topic and totally out of the blue, but I think Trenni does a really solid job. She seems quite enthusiastic and motivated, asks good questions, and seems to have some overall baseball knowledge, Shes not bad to look at either
  2. While good plate discipline is never a bad thing, Zambrano v. 2008 has not been the old zambrano. He is pitching to contact and not walking people like he used to. I would say that we should go out and try to be aggressive on good 1st pitch fastballs and try to get a couple early runs before zambrano settles in and then let YO do his thing
  3. Haha! You must have seen my post about that yesterdayhttp://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/tongue.gif
  4. My thoughts are (and this is kind of cheating) but we will find out real early our chances tonight. If Soup's command is there he will keep us in the game and then some; if not I think we almost certainly lose. Dempster has been tough on us and tough so far this season in general. Personally, I like our chances better tomorow. I always feel confident in YO and I have never felt that Zambrano is unbeatable. We have probably fared as well against him as anyone (just off the top of my head)
  5. So what do you guys think - better chance winning tonight against Dumpster with Soup on the mound or tomorrow with YO matching up against that big crazy dude?
  6. Good question! I hope its because he hasn't had to face our Mike Cameron - infused line-up yet
  7. I can't say for sure, but I would think the game will be blacked out on ESPN in WI. I know for the season opener at Wrigley the game was scheduled to be on ESPN2 and it was blacked out. I hope I am wrong. Anyone know what Hoppin' Alfonso's status is for this series? I know he is eligible to come off the DL on thurs, but I am assuming he will be making a few rehab starts after that? EDIT: Nevermind - I just read that Soriano will remain the leadoff batter for the cubs when he returns tomorrow. WOW, Brian Anderson really has no clue what he is talking about. He was just saying last night that we were fortunate that we won't see Soriano in this series. I thought maybe he knew something I didn't - I should know better.
  8. I know. But as Ned likes to say, "It's time to get things cranked up again!" Love the prediction. Our guys are just having so much fun out there they just don't want the game to end. But the wiley ol' vet that Cameron is, he will show them that there are indeed numerous benefits to ending the game in regulation. Say like by stroking a game winning double in the 9th to score a HBP'd Rickie Weeks from 1st and letting Gagne get in there and slam the door. (just don't make him count on DP's that need to be turned by Rickie. Instead opt for a sure double off that bat ran down in the gap at the track by one Mike Cameron)
  9. I definitely expected more chatter on here today with the impending cubs series, sheets return, cam's return... C'mon guys, I know it's been rough lately, but its still early. How's about we score some runs and start a winning streak tonight?!
  10. There is a very good article on espn dot com about Mike Cameron if anyone is interested
  11. That certainly seems to be the course they have been on lately. I sure hope it changes starting tonight. If they can't get up for the Cubs with Sheets and Cam back, I don't know what will provide a spark...
  12. I know exactly what you mean. It kind of stinks getting your ace back against the cubs when you all you can think about is what kind of injury will the cold weather induce upon him
  13. Just curious as to what the rest of you guys think our chances are of taking this series. It won't be easy...
  14. I am also jacked that Cam is back to man CF, but to be fair, Kapler's defense in center is pretty dang good and he covers a lot of ground out there
  15. Personally, I am just excited to watch him play CF, run the bases the way they are supposed to be ran, and see what kind of numbers he can put up at MP. The guy hit 22 and 21 HR's in the last 2 years playing half of his games at Petco! And for a guy the strikes out quite a bit, he has always been a pretty good OBP man. Ned said he wants to have Corey in the #5 spot because it affords Corey the chance to drive in runs, so I would think that Cam is your next best option there at 2, if not your best. He puts together good at bats.
  16. Woogie - thank you for making my day! I hadn't had a positive thought about baseball in my mind all day, but that made me laugh out loud. It was a struggle for me to even come to this site today, but that made it more than worth it. The part about Santo is brutal, but hilarious! Maybe if Ned could show that to the entire team they would break out of whatever kind of fog they are in. Thanks for the inspiration!!!
  17. Could be, but they both looked like strikes to me
  18. Now that was some good MoMo!! Lets go boys. Lets get about 4 here and slam the door and look like a real team heading into Wrigley!
  19. Good point. Although we have hit some balls hard the last few days
  20. Brewers execution = Marlins execution
  21. Who's crap list are we on? We can't catch a break and the Fish seem to get one after another
