  1. This makes no sense. If he gets thrown out 1 out of 100 times on that kind of play, it's bound to happen at some point. But that doesn't mean you don't try it. Do you really think that throwing a guy out at 3rd when trying to stretch a double into a triple that was hit to left field would only happen 1 out of 100 times. There is a reason why you hardly ever see triples to left field. Too short of a throw. Just about any baseball coach will tell you that he should not have done that. I bet Corey himself regrets it.
  2. Well, he got thrown out so they cant be that low. NEVER make the first out at 3rd. He was already in scoring position. To me this isnt even a debate
  3. Did you see where Schumaker was playing on that particular play? He was playing more toward CF than LF (and I have no idea why) Plus I still think overall Rickie is faster than Hart
  4. I don't know about that man. You should never try to get to third with no one out unless you are absolutely sure you can make it. You are already in scoring position. How many triples to left can you recall seeing? I can't think of many...
  5. You have got to be kidding me Hart! I meant Hart
  6. Good point. And it wouldn't take much for the zone to be tighter than what we have seen lately. There have been some interesting interpretations of balls and strikes
  7. Man it would be nice to get this kind of Soup all year.
  8. Hard to say for sure because I obviously can't see it, but it sounds like more of a hitter's strike zone today
  9. That makes some sense, although I don't think range was ever an issue for Braun. If true, it might also be JJ making an excuse for his below average range
  10. DP's are nice and all, but thats usually a sign that the team is putting a lot of men on base
  11. Thanks for the description. Its hard to picture a play like that from the radio broadcast (especially when Ueck made it sound like a HR, then an out, and then a double)
  12. Uecker has gotten so bad. It kills me to say that
  13. If you live in Wisconsin the game will be blacked out on extra innings. No bar will have it on in Wisconsin. This only works for out-of-staters with the option to watch at a bar. Just found that out the hard way.
  14. Anyone know if the game can be seen on the Extra Innings Pkg? Just wondering because I have the day off and I might have to head to a bar for "lunch" so I can catch the game
  15. I am pulling for Gagne and I do think he is going to end up doing a good job for us overall, but I can't say that I disagree with people that don't like him or those that think he has lost it...BUT....when I got to the part of your post where you talked about installing Riske as the closer being an option I just about fell out of my chair. Like I said, I'm not entirely sure that Gagne will be as effective as I hope, but have you seen Riske throw a pitch this year that actually looked like something that should get people out? Stuff wise Gagne and Riske aren't even in the same league. Plus, for a control guy Riske's command has been awful
  16. Great! Thanks for the info sheetswannabe and obsessed
  17. Anyone know if FSN will be airing the "Squeeze Play" edition of the non-televised games this year? I know there aren't many that are not televised, but I kind of liked the "Squeeze Plays" last year. It was better than nothing
  18. Good luck to you Gabe and thanks for the help today - I really did not think you had it in you to steal off Molina. Best wishes (just don't let TB play you in centerfield!)
  19. Maybe its just the euphoria of getting the win and finishing the game, but I for one am real excited about Mc Clung. He has looked great his last two times out and his mechanics look really good
