  1. We need a break to counteract Braun getting robbed of a home run. It's not the same for both teams because their lineup is much more lefty-oriented.
  2. Corey Hart is absolutely abysmal. He knows his problem is being over-aggressive yet he continually swings 1st pitch. Why not Tony Gwynn Jr. or anybody else but Hart. I'm so disgusted by how the wind screwed us out of a run there. 2 runs would have been GARGANTUAN with CC on the mound especially.
  3. Corey should have won the game with a homer there. He got a tremendously hittable fastball that split the zone in half. The Brewers beat themselves today, not the Phillies.
  4. Terrible decision by Sveum to start out the game with a lineup almost solely comprised of over-aggressive, all or nothing hitters; against a change-up specialist. Clearly Craig and Ray should have been in the lineup instead of Bill and Rickie.
  5. Our position players are on pace to get perfect gamed and allow at least 3 runs with their glove. Attanasio should divert their paycheck to Gallardo and the pitchers, or the fans for having to watch ineptitude like that.
  6. Game 1: Yovani Gallardo Game 2: CC Sabathia Game 3: Jeff Suppan Game 4: Yovani Gallardo (possibly abbreviated start followed by Villa) Game 5: CC Sabathia The primary reason we acquired Suppan was because he's proven at the very least to not be phased by the pressure of the playoffs. Dave Bush was fine this season, better than Suppan, but playoffs are somewhat of a different animal. Bush so often hasn't even been able to handle the adversity when things go awry in an individual inning of a midseason game. He shouldn't be given the nod over Suppan. Yovani Gallardo is an ace level pitcher, who has been cool under pressure. Pitch him as much as his arm allows. Villanueva has performed in some big innings against tough opponents throughout his career. He almost looks like he's asleep on the mound. If the Brewers need to preserve a lead or keep the team alive after an early struggle from one of the starters, he should be the first option out of the pen. McClung should get serious consideration for some closing situations after the way Torres has faded and really struggled against better competition. When McClung is amped his fastball reaches 98 MPH, and he can throw it by players for strikes, which is necessary in the 9th when they know even on 1-1 or 2-2 counts you have to come in the zone because the worst case scenario is walking a batter. I don't want Howard, Utley, or J-Roll knowing that a 92 MPH fastball is on its way.
  7. We did it man! We did it! *conservative middle aged man hugs 20-something covered in tattoos and body piercings*
  8. Wow! I thought that was at least a double off the bat. Smart play by the Fish coaches to play no double defense with a power hitter up and the tying run at 1st.

  11. I believe in CC and the Florida Marlins scrappiness to send us to the playoffs.

  13. I thought that was gone or at least a double. Damn no double defense!

  15. Leave CC in to pitch the 9th. He has had just about as good of a hack as anybody today and Torres has been wholly unreliable against the Cubs.

  17. Hart wouldn't even allow Wuertz to try to walk him. I hate Corey as a player so much right now.

  19. Somebody needs to tell these position players it's big boy time because they're playing like frightened little leaguers out there.

  21. That bad call by the umpire is so damaging when it appears runs will be at a premium considering our hitters are waving at balls out of the zone and making weak contact.

  23. Leave him in to close out the game.
