  1. Leave Joey at 3rd, let Pratt play every day (unless we are facing an ace pitcher), for the love of God, give Lara consistent ABs, don’t let Gary challenge, and Vaughn only hits lefties… I don’t have a solution for Jackson and Bauers sucking in July
  2. I love Wild Bill, Jackson, Bauers, and Vaughn, but man is our main offense ice cold right now
  3. Rough, oh well… go get em tomorrow 2-2 versus the “easy” part of our schedule
  4. Here comes Mr Failed Challenge, middle name, GIDP
  5. Agreed! I was coming around a bit on Sproat after his rough start, but he seems to have re-entered the funk. Henderson has had injuries, but I think Henderson’s worst game has been better than Sproat’s best. When they are healthy, Henderson is the much better pitcher. If Sproat was 3.50 and durable versus a 3.00 Henderson, this could be a debate, but Sproat has been below replacement level thus far in his career. for Free, let’s see what he can do Gasser has been much better than Sproat’s lately, but obviously doesn’t have the same pedigree for ability
  6. Love this. Great proposals
  7. I’m a no on trading Henderson. i’d happily include Gasser, Sproat, or Crow in a package with Fischer and Jett to get something good.
  8. I certainly hope so for Made. I think a Jackson type deal makes sense for both sides. I know there is more risk with pitchers. But I still think there is some mutual benefit for Miz & Harrison. Assuming they can both stay healthy and effective, they are going to start getting some nice increases once they get to the Arby years, but that can all quickly go up and smoke like it did for Woodruff and Priester. Heck, I’m sure that the injury and less effectiveness has really hurt. What Skubal will get in the off-season
  9. I think the difference between the NBA and Major league baseball might be the location of game six. once you get to the playoffs, you have only the best teams left. Winning a series 4 to one would seem to be more challenging than winning 4 to 2. given the current situation, I think the recent dominance of the Dodgers also might skew those home-field advantage numbers. looking back to last year, I’m pretty sure that the Brewers don’t beat the Cubs game five is on the road
  10. Interesting analysis. I’ll reference this when people say that getting a top-2 seed has a bigger difference than getting the 1-seed. I would stipulate that for the brewers to have any realistic chance at beating LA would require us to be the 1 seed - as this article substantiates, a 1 seed is a bigger home field advantage than a deadline deal - the 1 seed avoids another division champ until the NLCS. Last year (and likely this year) there is a massive drop off between the Top 3 and the remaining NL playoff teams.
  11. Hey now, some years we upgrade to the great wolf lodge :P actually, went for it on one of those dream trips this year (Iceland) but it cost $$$$ can’t do that every year then again, the brewers never go for it, so maybe this is the year :D
  12. I’d probably be willing to trade Sproat or Gasser, both of whom have potential, but really haven’t put it together yet. Not sure I’d be willing to trade from the Big 4 though - Miz, Harrison, Henderson, Drohan.
  13. I agree that Yeli had a good game today, but his game on monday was awful ( I was there in person right behind home plate)... lots of weak contact. But I will definitely give credit where due, Henderson, Yeli, and Ortiz won the game for us today
  14. How much do you think Bauers will get? I'd rather give Bauers 3/$36 or something like that than give Vaughn 1/$10 to be a part-time player. I get $10M isn't much... but we're paying $10M for a 1/3 player who continues to show he is unplayable versus righties.
  15. at $7M already this year... I think Vaughn may become a non-tender candidate for next year. No way do I want to pay $10 million for a part-time streaky hitter who can't play defense other than 1B.
  16. Three moves #1- DFA Sanchez and bring in Haase #2- Fischer, Sproat, and Jett to Detroit for Skubal #3- Some non top-20 prospects for a solid left-handed reliever
  17. Chourio is a special player... but really struggling for sure
  18. Fischer for Skubal or Ryan would make me happy, along with a long term deal with Made
  19. I read these week that market short selling is reaching all time highs (assuming I understood the article correctly) sign of a correction coming, or just more wild speculation in a market that keeps making small moves up and down but that has been largely flat for quite some time?
  20. I got the impression he was hitting the “rookie wall”, and had some fatigue and we were looking to limit innings. i know he’s not a rookie, but this has been his first sustained success and his previous innings high was 124 in 2024… if best case, we’re going to get 150-160 innings from him (already at 83), let’s make those count. if we have effective Miz and Harrison in the playoffs, we are going places (assuming Henderson would be #3) if we’re starting Gasser or Sproat in the playoffs, we’re probably not going to advance.
  21. Burn the film, onto the next game… but man that was a stinker
  22. I’ll say it again. DFA him already and bring in Haase. Sanchez just doesn’t bring value to this team.
