  1. lcbj68c, you might want to add a smiley or use blue text the next time you joke about something on the forum. Thanks.
  2. I just messaged obsessedwithbrewcrew and encouraged him to shout something Brewerfan-esque, since we'd probably hear him. I don't know if he has a mobile device at the game, though.
  3. No doubt in tribute to Brian Anderson saying "Andres" the first few times he mentioned the perfect game during Wednesday's broadcast.
  4. http://www.rightfieldbleachers.com/wp-content/uploads/2008/08/chris-capuano-757625.jpg Welcome back, Chris! I can't speak for everyone on this forum, but I've missed you, and I know I'm not the only one. Back him up tonight, Brewers. He's come a long way.
  5. gypcasino's post prompted me to check the Marlins' promotion schedule, and it is bizarrely full of sound-making promotions: Marlins Air Horn (June 19) Marlins Cow Bell (July 17) Marlins Rally Drum (July 24) Marlins Samba Whistle (August 7) Marlins Clapper (August 21) Marlins Latin Cow Bell (September 18) Marlins Thunder Sticks (October 2) Among the past promotions: Another thunder sticks giveaway on May 1 Marlins Maraca (May 15) Marlins Tambourine (May 29) Also, nice job, Brewers. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  6. I hope that wasn't George's lucky bat that gave its life.
  7. Dear Yovani: I think I speak for many Brewers fans when I ask you to remember how nicely things went in your last start, and keep doing those things. Thanks! Best wishes, and stay well, hawing
  8. Removing Bush makes more sense given his blister, but apparently the Brewers considered scratching Bush from his start entirely. Couldn't Loe have taken the start, since he's been starting and pitching more than an inning tonight would have kept him on the schedule he had in Nashville?
  9. Oooh, I saw Bruney vs. the Brewers in Washington. It wasn't impressive.
  10. Aye, that's the rub. Not that fans and/or popular opinion should be driving roster management decisions, but the organization (whoever's behind this) seems resolute about having Jeff on the roster. I don't see what that achieves besides increasing ill will. Yet another day when I'd like to be a fly on the wall in Doug's office. But heading back toward the original topic...I hope that Marco returns to something approximating a normal pitching schedule in Nashville. I'm not a fan of how he was used here this go-round.
  11. I wonder how often (or how recently before these last three games) Marco has been used three games in a row.
  12. Our loge usher reads the Power 50, and I told him Sunday to watch for it this week. Talk about a pressure cooker for battlekow.
  13. Don't foret the little league crowd 10,115 "paid to see" this one.
  14. He's been used in three straight games now, with the first being his apparent intended role of "half-starter." So I wouldn't discount the notion of his being overworked.
  15. Part of the point of the Memorial Day tribute is to have the whole country (or at least each whole time zone) observing the same moment...kind of a unity thing.
  16. Yuku isn't making it evident so far, but the chat room is occupied. That stadium just looks hot.
  17. My tatted wookiee looking guy does it again. Don't feel you need to let up, Corey.
  18. Ohhh, the radio broadcast is playing a recorded Memorial Day message from Uecker. If that was done recently, he sounds a LOT better. /pining for Bob again/
  19. Here is the first sentence of the Wikipedia entry for Sun Life Stadium: I would say Land Shark Stadium is the silliest of those names, but the sheer sequence is also silly.
  20. Also mentioned in the pre-game interview with Ken Macha. I'm ready to give this a try. Edit: And here is a McCalvy blog post.
  21. This ties in, I think, with the game comments my 70-year-old mother emailed to me this morning: As I stated in Sunday's IGT, I've reached the point where I would rather see the Brewers get nothing out of Jeff than the negative value they are currently getting by his continuing to appear in games. I can accept Sunday's results (despite sitting through them in person in the heat) if that game proves to be Suppan's last stand.
  22. Don't think I wasn't thinking of you and your crazy broom talk from the Saturday chat. But now we can saddle Suppan with this loss, which is more appropriate.
  23. Just to bring a little happiness into today's IGT: http://sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-snc3/hs638.snc3/32029_1455583555292_1404434242_1174575_3449882_n.jpg It was very nice to see Capuano with the team. The Brewers even made him the answer to the Triple Play Trivia.
  24. We saw it happen. Nice job! RBM, if you'd like, I can email a few photos I took from our seats by the press box. Just PM me with an address.
