  1. I'm not sure how it will work, but I'm not convinced you have to wait until your normal renewal time to switch. It'll probably be similar to the process for getting Packer plates, and here are some of the instructions for that: (bold added by me) Our current plates expire in September. The above makes me think that we could apply now/soon with the Brewers-related fees, and not pay the annual registration fee until September. Either that or we'd pay now, and would have our renewal time reset to April (thus not having to pay a renewal fee in September 2010). Liz, if I were you I'd contact the DOT and ask how to proceed. My guess is that they'd say renew your ordinary plates now, and when you apply for the Brewers plates you don't have to include the annual fee, only the special Brewer fees. Patrick425, I suspect that since you just paid, you too would "only" be charged the Brewer fees, until your next annual renewal. I don't know for sure, though. I'm a state employee but DOT is not my agency.
  2. That is one magnificent beast. Also (since this post is already off-topic), I miss your Latin signature, Nottso. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif Getting back on topic, see some of you in a couple of days!
  3. The plates are expected to have a six-letter limit, and I will not sully my best contribution ever to nickname-dom by altering its spelling just for a license plate.
  4. What if they win 90?
  5. I'd like to get a personalized plate and use it for one year, then retire it to some place of honor in our house and move to an ordinary plate. The only questions for me will be which design, and how to personalize. I have a few ideas for the latter and will simply await the unveiling to decide on the former.
  6. If nothing is announced after this buildup statement, I think that would make some of us not happy with Macha.
  7. I wonder how many minutes elapsed between Scott getting the news and a reporter asking him what he thought. I know I wouldn't necessarily be thinking the most level-headed thoughts in the immediate aftermath of that kind of news (particularly not if the last year had gone as horribly for me as it has for him).
  8. There were rumors it was also supposed to open in November, then December, then Feb, so i'm not holding my breath. But it would be nice. I thought the Milwaukee location was on the fast track to open in time for the 2010 season, while the Lake Geneva location was the one delayed. Too often quotes are misused for emphasis, when something like bold text might be more appropriate; I'm guessing this is the case with "ALL-STAR."
  9. WIBA radio reported this morning that Jared Berggren had a bum shoulder for much of the year, and is having surgery on it Thursday. Apparently Bo shared this news on his Badger basketball radio show Monday night, so I guess WIBA has the scoop - I haven't seen the information elsewhere yet. (Technically, it's also possible that I misheard the whole thing, since I was still waking up when the sports report was on.) This doesn't prove that Jared will be the mystery player, but I was a little surprised to hear about it.
  10. ESPN Link Good thing this wasn't caught any later than it was.
  11. There's a large piece of city equipment parked outside our house, next to a manhole in the street. It's really loud, and I hope it's not there because of a water problem because I need a shower.
  12. trwi7 must be happy with tonight's D-1 result; maybe too happy to post here tonight. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif Hartland Arrowhead was down by 8 at the half, outscored Madison Memorial 26-7 in the third quarter, and went on to win by 21. That's quite a swing. At least it resulted in a surprise in one of the boys' championships. Meanwhile, I look forward to Friday's girls' tournament action: not only Monroe in D-2 but Cuba City (employer of Mrs. bensheeps) in D-3. My March Madness.
  13. I was snickering until I realized that the Kansas loss stands to make things much easier for Michigan State.
  14. Close, at 2:17. Box score Edit: It feels almost like I should have edited the thread title with [Gallardo wins, 1-0]. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  15. Wow. I don't want to belittle the importance of Opening Day...but $195 would cover three pairs of our loge tickets with a bit left over.
  16. I hate to say, but the only threads from 2003-ish that would have had a chance of surviving on this board would be some in the lowest-traffic forums. Before the migration from ezboard to Yuku, threads would simply drop off after enough had amassed. The oldest thread in off-topic when I checked just now was from December 2006.
  17. That was quite a finish. It's about time a WIAA game was entertaining to the end.
  18. Well, Wisconsin has 40-some hours to get back on track. Here's hoping they do.
  19. Gameday is showing 10 pitches for Piniero through the first two innings (10 strikes, 0 balls).
  20. I thought about that, but wanted to go in a different direction this time. The Soup is not just cold, it's out of the bowl.
  21. If there is a local stream, it's probably not free. Sweet crap, Wisconsin, wake up.
  22. http://www.esquire.com/cm/esquire/images/esq-spilled-soup-0110-lg-19246254.jpg This was the least gross looking image I found for "spilled soup."
  23. Earlier this week I read (either in the State Journal or USA Today's special NCAA section) someone's list of top sleeper teams. First on the list? Cornell, naturally. At least Georgetown's loss Thursday should reduce the media's glaring eye on Wisconsin, if Wofford happens to win today.
  24. Oh, I was rooting for Clayton yesterday, watching from home (basically because of my not necessarily fair public-school bias). That was a tough loss - though at least it was more interesting to watch than the various other beatdown blowouts of the day.
