  1. Yes, we scored a few last nightYep, saw them. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif What I didn't know is whether Badger Mutual is still a sponsor, hence continuing that name. Diego time?.....no. Casey time?
  2. Ross, how did you find out that the plates you named above are no longer available?
  3. Ah, nuts, that's right. My afternoon student called in sick, so I've only been able to follow the last few innings in bits and pieces. Hang on, Brewers. Do we still have Badger Mutual Insurance runs this year?
  4. I want to keep an open mind, but the phrase "Stetter warming up" makes me gulp a little.
  5. Wow, seriously? Weren't they stumped last night when he was booed on his 9th inning AB?
  6. The TMJ audio cut out for a bit, but it's back at the moment for me.
  7. From my post in Tuesday's IGT: Then phxMILWfan replied: I agreed, and others appear to be following suit.
  8. And here I am going to work like a sucker. I hope you can find a taker, Pedro.
  9. If Diego produces for the Brewers in games that count, I'll be counting on the collective photoshop skillz of Brewerfan nation to go to work on images like this: http://www.balloonmaniacs.com/images/godiegogoheliumballoonjumbo.jpg Brewerfan.net Fan Forum: Where those not sold on Jim Edmonds can make lemonade out of lemons. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif
  10. If I can possibly help it, I'll never sit in the terrace level for a Brewers-Cubs game again. The last time I did it, the only reason I did was because of the chance of a playoff berth clinch (09/27/2008).
  11. If you bypass personalization, all you really have to do is show up with your vehicle registration and enough $$ at a DMV facility, and there you go. I'm on vacation after Friday and just might do that myself. But yeah, we were caught off guard to have a vehicle with a modern logo plate pass us en route to MP yesterday.
  12. http://www.officeworks.com.au/ims_docs/4A/4A5A8C0C60AD08DAE1008000AC193D36.JPG Look, they make navy Sharpies! Go Doug! Also, I'm delighted to see the Diego nickname catch on.
  13. Fans of the terrace level fan store may be disappointed to learn that the discount rack (which brought joy and bargains to at least a few of us here at Brewerfan) is no longer a part of that retail location. Now it looks (to me) like a smaller version of the new overpriced stuff that is downstairs - though to be fair, I didn't make my way to either of the field level stores during Tuesday's game.
  14. For those pondering the license plate purchase, the terrace level fan store (at least; I'd imagine the others do too) has one of each style in a display case. The ball-glove logo plate is gorgeous in my opinion - not saying I only live in the past; I just like the design - but I am slightly chagrined to report that now that I've seen it in person, I think its blue would clash a bit with our light blue car. We may have to go with the navy instead.
  15. I was trying to make sense of Corey's music Tuesday night. I caught only a bit of the lyrics: "Ain't nothin' wrong." Also, something about jeans. I kind of like Rickie's music, but it sounds like the intro to a song and has no lyrics, leaving me helpless to figure it out unless I suddenly get much more hip.
  16. My opening day turned out just fine, except for the downpours we encountered on the drive home. http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/51J70edipML._SL500_AA280_.jpg I'm OK with Randy Wolf so far. I was pleased with his strike to ball ratio (72 of 97 pitches for strikes). It wasn't Sabathiaesque but if that's standard Randy Wolf, the rotation should be more stable this year. He also made a nice snag of a ball hit to him in the 4th. I was more than a little nervous when Mitch came in, but he made it work. LaTroy Hawkins' appearance was encouraging. I also called the McGehee home run. I have the S.O. as a witness. He went on to predict the Zaun GIDP + RBI. As a veteran of "second home games" for the Brewers, I would call Tuesday's crowd a healthy size for the second game of the year. However, anyone who believes there were 37,344 in the house are crazy elf talking. I know attendance is not who's there, but who "paid to see it" but the S.O.'s attendance guess was 27,000 and I was entertaining 29K or maybe 30K. I would like to call attention to Tuesday's episode of Triple Play Trivia Shame. The choices were Jody Gerut, Jim Edmonds and Craig Counsell. The clues were (1) His middle name is Diego; (2) He went to Stanford; and (3) He hit a grand slam against the Cubs last season. The hapless contestant guessed Jim Edmonds. FAIL. I know not everyone reads the media guide as much as I do, but if they'd give it a little thought they'd realize that Jim Edmonds hit no grand slams in 2009. Also, Jim Diego Edmonds? Please.
  17. Doesn't look that way. So please excuse my excitement at being able to go tonight. Hawing's opening day! I'll try to turn on my photographic memory so I can tell you what it looked like.
  18. If you attended Monday's game and didn't sit in the bleachers, you might be able to find yourself in the photo linked here.
  19. As chronicled by JSOnline!
  20. Then I hope the Robert Haack Diamonds sign in left center either disappears or is redesigned. It has the look of one of those fly-by-night jewelry buying operations, as if perhaps a stand for selling your unwanted gold was in the loge concourse, or one of the parking lots.
  21. He's used that siren/roaring noise before. I assumed the latter noise was an approaching tornado.
  22. I noticed that on Saturday. One of my favorite photos I took from the end of the 2008 season was of the C IT GO pump sign displaying a large RYAN after his grand slam on September 25. There's a Trevor Hoffman banner under the U.S. flag in the outfield, intended for a countdown (I guess count up) to 600 saves.
