  1. We may not win this series. In fact we're still gonna have to win at least one game somehow at PHX, which is gonna be tough as nails, but there's nobody out on the floor (including Devin Booker) who's even in the same class of player as Giannis, and he's playing on 1 1/2 knees. I hope this performance puts to rest the "over rated" moniker he gets. Yeah, he makes an odd boneheaded play now and then, and he can't shoot 3's very good, but he's one of the best players of this generation and we should be glad he's ours.
  2. Way to respond after PHX cut the lead to 4.
  3. Bobby needs to turn his intensity level down. To 10/10
  4. Well, I said Phoenix wasn't going to shoot 20-40 from 3 again. So far they're 2-14. So check that box so far.
  5. Nice quarter. Let's hope they maintain that emotional and physical drive in the 2nd half.
  6. When they stop passing and start just jacking up contested jumpers, they stop scoring. I don't know why this mentality is so hard for them to stay in for four quarters.
  7. Kaminsky got free for that layup, but he just doesn't look like a guy who belongs on an NBA roster taking minutes for a team trying to win a championship.
  8. PHoenix runs offense that forces a lot of switches but the Bucks have to be more disciplined to avoid unfavorable matchups.
  9. I keep seeing this and I just disagree with it. We're probably (probably) going to lose this series, and maybe it's because Phoenix is a bad stylistic matchup for us. I don't know. I just disagree that they are so much better than the Bucks. They are both +5.9 NR teams over 72 games, they're both pretty similar statistically, other than the way they score their buckets.
  10. They are. We don’t have the diamondbacks anymore. We'll see after 162 Yep that’s why you don’t print the t-shirts that say we were up 4 games at all star break Wait until the schedule evens out some. Reds are a better team and it shows on the field right now. Heck the beat hader twice now. Cripes Brewers have a winning record vs Pads and Dodgers. us > them. Reds the best team in the NL?
  11. Except they're not. They are. We don’t have the diamondbacks anymore. We'll see after 162
  12. It’s also true that we never actually touch anything, so with that in mind I guess he was technically out (although same goes for every base runner in history then). "In a Universe, where we never actually touch anything, how CAN a runner actually be on the bag?!?" NDT
  13. After messing around with it frame by frame, this is the closest I could come to a "definitive" view of his foot being off the bag, and it's not 100% definitive. His foot MIGHT be off the bag, it might not be. But it's not defining, IMO.
  14. Using replay to see if a guy came off a base of a fraction of an inch for a fraction of a second, something an umpire probably can't even see with normal human vision, is clearly beyond the spirit of the rule, and probably something replay was never intended to be used for. It's a shame that it's come to this, because replay should be (honestly, really should be) just a helpful tool in the kit to help make officiating easier. Instead, they manage to bungle it worse by taking something easy and mangling it way beyond the spirit of the intention and this is what we end up with.
  15. Box has an ERA under 3 and a 10.6 k per 9. I'm not sure why he gets so much negative jibber jabber here. He walks a few guys but his WHIP is decent and he generally does a pretty decent job for a 6th/7th inning guy.
  16. For all the hand wringing of Pablo Reyes being on our 40 man, the Reds just had a guy with a .554 OPS pinch hit in the 7th inning of a tie game with the team that's 5 games up on them for the division lead. Every team has bottom filler at the bottom of their roster. Even the Mighty Cincinnati Reds.
  17. He was pretty horrible until becoming a Brewer. To what would you attribute his success in Milwaukee? They showed a video of the difference the other day after he took deGrom deep. If I remember correctly he has been keeping his hand back and making contact deeper and not out in front. This has also helped his pitch recognition. Haines.
  18. I ask you to look at all rosters across the major leagues. They all have guys like Reyes as their bottom ends. And he’s our bottom end with injuries. Right. We've got half a starting lineup (if you still count Shaw as a 'starter') on the IL. If even 2 of those guys are healthy, Reyes is in Nashville right now.
