  1. Intensity is definitely there tonight.
  2. I know we're a team that shoots 3's and shoots a lot of them, but the looks need to be good and don't take a rushed three with 15 seconds still on the clock.
  3. 5 stars. WOuld recommend this post.
  4. Play bobby portis 35 minutes instead of Pat Connaughton. Whooaa solvdd
  5. I'm just not sure I'm buying Hiura's current performance as a definite indicator of future results, and I am equally skeptical of his 1B defense. Plus, you've got inevitable injuries that will make Urias have to cover time at 2B, etc. Any acquisition that takes ABs away from the Robertson/Pederson's of the world, the better the team will be. As much as I have wanted Jace Peterson to just go away, he's actually proven to be pretty valuable this season. I'm at the point where I don't mind him much in a utility role. Problem is he's still starting somewhere pretty much every day. Hopefully Wong and Cain are back soon, and he's pushed to the role he should be in. Except he's not starting every day. We're at 81 games and he's got 93 PA's. He's on pace to get less than 200 PA's, which is fine for a .330 - 350 OBP utility infielder. He's gonna start if someone is hurt, he won't if they're not. I'm honestly ok if we acquire another IF and push Urias to a super sub role (I'd like to see Urias really snag that 3B job though), and push Peterson to the last man on the bench, but if he keeps his OPS even around .725 or so, there's nothing wrong with him getting a start or two a week considering it skews OBP heavy.
  6. Advantage: Eric Sogard This is obviously all tongue-in-cheek good fun, but it certainly does illustrate the beauty of baseball. If a world class shot-putter raced Usain Bolt in the 100m or 200m dash he would lose 100% of the time with 0 exceptions (barring injury/gambling involvement). In baseball, no matter how much the difference is in the long term overall probabilities, in every individual circumstance even the worst has a chance to beat the best. If there is another more apt example of the American Spirit exemplified in sport I would like to hear it. Brandon Woodruff hitting a homerun off of Clayton Kershaw in the NLCS.
  7. The Gametracker on ESPN had the Cubs odds of winning at 95.4% in the first when they were up 7-0. Basically, saying that 19 times out of 20 they'll going to win in that scenario. honestly, that seems kind of *low*, IMO. If you blow a 7 run first inning lead even one out of 20 times, something went horribly wrong (and today, for the Cubs, it did)
  8. I don't know what happened last night. Atlanta without Trey Young shouldn't have stomped all over us. We have better players than the Hawks. The bucks just came out full of themselves and assuming they were going to win. Our guys are better than their guys. We can win this series without G If they play like they know they can and they have to. Let the chips fall where they may against either Phoenix or the clippers.
  9. Find a way to win it home without him tomorrow night. If they lose it Atlanta on game 6 maybe 3 or 4 days of rest and therapy get him back for game 7. Even 30 minutes. Maybe I'm just wishful thinking.
  10. I'm all for live and let live. But based on what his agent said, he engages in some risky stuff. It seems like a thing that would always leave your career and celebrity status hanging by a thread. I'm hoping for the best, but I don't know what that is in this case. I read the whole thing. I agree that his behavior pushes him into some areas that lays him open. I wasn't going to touch on that myself. He's also harassed fans, including a college-aged girl for several days on Twitter. I'm not saying he's innocent or guilty. I'm definitely glad we chose not to pursue him based on things.
  11. Trevor Bauer being investigated for sexual assault by lapd. Not a civil suit, but an investigation by the police. Obviously innocent until proven guilty. We'll definitely wait to hear more
  12. I don't know how more clearly I can say I just think it's frustrating to see your teams go 0-7 in conference title games or series (now probably 0-8) over a decade and I find it odd to be called spoiled. I guess people's definitions of success are different.
  13. Miller making it sound like Middleton can make up a 19 point deficit by himself in 14 minutes. I get it, he has to keep viewers tuned in. But oof. The other night Middleton had Giannis to act as a decoy.
  14. I played one season of HS basketball and averaged 1.5 ppg. My single game high was 7 points, and I did that by going 5 for 5 from the stripe, and I was a BAD shot. I don't ever remember airballing a free throw. I never had the pressure of an ECF on me though.
  15. I don't care about the narrative. I just want them to win.
  16. Getting beat to every loose ball.
  17. Let's cut this to about 5 by the half.
  18. Bucks look super tentative and out of sync.
  19. Firing bricks all over the place. This is beyond ugly.
  20. These shots are brutal. Not even close.
  21. Jump shots not falling at all again.
