  1. Throwing error by Braun... Will we see a homer later?
  2. With Braun's bat having the rust off it, he could slug the Graffsell platoon to the bench. Not that there's anything wrong with that...
  3. Especially with Braun in an offensive groove when he has played. Clearly, Braun is the best option at third. I just don't see how you can keep Counsell as anything other than a backup SS/2B and pinch-runner.
  4. Hope he is... I don't want a Graffsell platoon at third.
  5. If Braun keeps hitting, he can make errors at third. I'll take the bat. Heck, if Rickie can get his power swing back in the groove, I won't be upset about errors at second, either.
  6. I thought Braun had two homers and one error... We'll get another homer from him later, I bet.
  7. I certainly do. I liked the enthusiasm for the game Sutton brought to the Brewers. Not that Anderson does a bad job, but Daron was something kinda special. I loved his calls on some of those game-winning shots the Brewers hit.
  8. The intentional walk - the most cowardly thing in baseball.
  9. Time for Ryan Braun facts? http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  10. Amen to that, brewmann04. Gotta love good bats - even if you give up errors.
  11. I'm gonna say it is not getting carried away. It's enjoyable.
  12. Gotta love it today. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif Ryan Braun sure made a mark today.
  13. AJAY Graffsell platoon's not an option any more. Ryan Braun, the Opening Day third baseman for the Milwaukee Brewers!
  14. parkside21 When one has a bat like Braun's, errors will be VERY forgiveable.
  15. And Dunn is leaving.. having been clubbed like a baby seal!!!
  16. Braun did it again. OK, is there still any reason to think about Graffsell at third? I can live with the errors - I want that bat in the lineup. PRONTO!!
  17. If he can slug .500 in the majors, he's ready. I can live with the errors.
  18. Well, spring training this year is to iron out Bill's problems in center.
  19. I think Weeks hit about.280, .380 OBP, 40 doubles, 10-15 triples, 15-20 homers, 40 steals, and 35-40 errors. All in all, a near-breakout season.
  20. Gabe Gross and his 2006 performance certainly are the biggest reason why I like the idea of moving Jenkins. Gross provides above-average defense, an .800+ OPS, and for about $600,000 or thereabouts. The only question is whether he is a part-time player in a platoon, or if he plays full-time.
  21. Braun. I think he could take the third-base job from Koskie decisiviely.
  22. Lieber's not bad - particularly when you view it as "buying time to fully develop one of Villanueva, Gallardo, or Dillard." Looking over his page at baseball-reference, I see a lot to like. Even with a bit of a slump last year, his K/BB was 4:1. His WHIP was 1.31. In previous years, his ERA was around 4.00, rather than 5.00. I was never thrilled with getting Mench in the Carlos Lee trade. It would have been far better to just get Codero and Nix, plus the minor-leaguer. He just did not fit in, and he took playing time away from Corey Hart and Gabe Gross. Losing Turnbow will hurt, though. I don't think he'd reach 2005 performance, but is he as bad as he was in the second half of 2006? No. He'd be a decent option closer once he gets straightened out some.
