  1. Dave Krynzel just drew his THIRD walk of the day. Not a bad hat trick... but I wonder if the next game, it could be three homers. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  2. And Pat Borders, pinch-hitting, drives in Brad Nelson. 5-1.
  3. Brad Nelson with a double... http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif Will JJ get Brad in?
  4. And they are kicking butt in BOTH games. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/glasses.gif Just gotta get JJ Hardy's bat alive soon... at least Bill Hall can fill in...
  5. Krynzel a second walk.. now he steals a base! Brady's gonna be lookin' over his shoulder. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  6. Yeah. Capellan probabaly ought to head to Nashville. He's allowing the M's back into this.
  7. brettac1 Doug Davis has a good one, too... EDIT: Down in order. Nelson K, Hardy 6-3, Enrique Cruz (PH for Cappy) 5-3.
  8. And Cappy picks one off!!! A very fluid move, not quite like that Doug Davis pickoff that was too good in the mind of the ump (who called it a balk). Two no-hit innings for Cappy. A good start for his 2005. Let's see if he can make it three. He didn't use too many pitches, he's cruising. His limit is 40, right?
  9. The first of many as a Brewer, I hope... http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif Would they consider it cheating if the Crew moved the right field wall in 30 feet? http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/laugh.gif
  10. Well, Capuano is perfect through the first inning. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  11. I'm going fo rthe home game... Krynzel, Weeks, Branyan, and Hardy... gonna be a blast listening to the kids hit. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/happy.gif
  12. Matt Ford is probably better suited to the bullpen. He did fine there in 2003, and struggled in the rotation. I always figured he would have been a good option of the pen in 2004, and it might be the same this year.
  13. Jorge de la Rosa looks like a middle-relief guy or situational lefty. Maybe Bill Castro can work some magic with him...
  14. If Hardy starts in the majors, Erickson is at AAA. More likely, Hardy's at Nashville to deal with the rust, and Erickson's on the bench in Milwaukee. Cirillo as the AAA third baseman could be worth doing.
  15. Do the Brewers really need eight guys in the bullpen?
  16. According to the AP, Yost has told pitchers to use common sense. Translation: Walk him if you must - otherwise challeneg him - more often than not, he will make an out. Preferably two.
  17. Spivey in right and Ginter at second? Doable, but that's going to leave the Crew without backups. Ginter's capable at second or third, and in a pinch could play left.
  18. The Brewers have Spivey to bat second. Besides, I think the big reason Helms had problems this year was because he missed a lot of time with that knee injury. Otherwise, I think he'd have been close to his 2003 numbers.
  19. Krynzel has a lot to prove in AAA, still. He lost a lot of time this year with the foot injury. Letting him play every day is not a bad idea, IMO. That means the Arizona Fall League this year, and a full season in AAA. I have the impression that Krynzel may have too much power to be a leadoff hitter. Hart, on the other hand, has proven himself a to be a definite upgrade over Brady Clark. Also, having him bat 5th breaks up the lefties. Health is the bigger issue here. I think spring training will give us an idea of whether he is ready to start, or if he needs a little more time in AAA (in which case Branyan would go to right, and the Brewers make do with Helms at third).
  20. Same here. Branyan ought to be given a one-year look at third base. Give Krynzel a full year at AAA - he's still pretty young, so it won't hurt, I think. The lineup of: cf: Podsednik 2b: Spivey 1b: Overbay lf: Jenkins rf: Hart 3b: Branyan ss: Hall c: Moeller Will be much stronger than a lot of the ones trotted out this year. Cold streaks definitely will not hurt as much. And Overbay and Jenkins will have a bit of protection behind them.
  21. Obie may be better off as a reliever. If he can be part of the 2005 bullpen, that allows the Crew to deal Luis Vizcaino this offseason for someone who might help elsewhere.
