  1. If the Brewers were 14-8 with you in attendance, you need to be on the payroll.
  2. Congrats to Wes on a great start...hopefully this is something to really build upon. Then again, we've said this before. No more pessimism, today was Wes' day.
  3. Yep, thanks Madison FOX, I really haven't gotten to see enough Cubs games this year on Saturday afternnons. What a load of crap.
  4. The interest has waned Brewerfan-wide. The only question left is which post MassBrew hit 10,000 on.
  5. Looks like Sheets will again pitch well enough to win and get the L instead. The guy has a sub-.500 record with an ERA under 3. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/mad.gif
  6. A couple of responses to things posted earlier: RoCo--I agree. History is great, but the fans have gotta give the kid a break. He's out there, heart-a-thumpin' trying NOT to give up #700 and is getting abused by the home town crowd. In the end, Bonds swung and made an out. Good work Pedro. As for Bonds playing on Thursday, ESPN's Bottom Line cited Alou as saying Bonds will continue playing during the 700 chase. I'm sure some higher powers may have gotten in his ear, but it is mid-September and the Giants are barely ahead in the wild card, so I see no reason why he wouldn't play.
  7. The fateful 6th inning again. When will Nedley learn?
  8. C'mon people, Wes is TRYING to throw strikes. Quit booing. He's at his limit.
  9. Uh-oh. Hit to lead off the 6th. Here we go again....and now Bonds is up.
  10. We're closing in on Wes' breaking point.
  11. It's gonna happen tonight. Wes will always have that to tell the kids about.
  12. Congrats to Ben Hendrickson on his 1st ML win. Here's to many, many more!!
  13. It's Beer. Hooooray, Beer! I gotcha. Let's check the fridge.......
  14. stkmtimo- He gets one game every year when he sings "Take Me Out" and he always says "Root for the Brewers". Cub fans used to hate it, but now they "get it". And that is the last nice thing I'll EVER say about a Cub fan.
  15. Sorry ja002h, I was listening to the game tonight and heard them talking about Ueck going over to WGN's booth. I had inside info.http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/happy.gif
  16. I know it's sacreligious to watch WGN, but Uecker's on the air in the 7th and singing the stretch tonight. Root, root, root, for the Brewers!!
  17. I was flipping between ESPN's game and Baseball Tonight hoping to hear the organ music followed by a Brewer highlight. C'mon guys, make it happen!
  18. Keep me informed guys. I refuse to turn the TV on because the few times I had it on tonight, bad things would happen. No TV or radio for me. I'm living thru you guys and an occasional Yahoo game update.
  19. Well, I started the game thread yesterday and it worked, so here's going for 2..... Matt Clement (8-11, 3.1http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/glasses.gif goes for the Scrubs tonight as the Scrubs try to get back on track after last night's loss. Ben Sheets (9-9, 2.74) goes after elusive win #10 for the Crew as the Brewers look to creep back towards .500. The story of this game will be which pitcher gets some support from his teammates as both Clement and Sheets have been victimized numerous times by poor offensive showings. The Cubs have averaged 3.7 runs of support/game for Clement and the Brewers only give Ben 3.18 runs. Here's to the Crew going for 2 and knocking the Scrubs further back in the Wild Card standings. Go Ben! Go Crew! Lineups later as they become available....
  20. There's 1 for the good guys. Let's get 2 more and go SF and anybody else not from Chicago in the Wild Card chase.
  21. Just so the gift isn't returned later. **Fingers crossed**
  22. What a sweet intro on TV. Clips from the last 6 years including the Brant Brown play. Great to see that again. As much as I hate the Cubs, it's always been fun. Nice job, Daron. You are Daron, not Bill. Looks like we're in for a real announcing doozy when the announcer has already forgotten his name during the intro.http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/tongue.gif
  23. We've just gotta do something to rattle Zambrano early. If he finds his groove, we may as well all find something else to occupy our evening.
