  1. I have 2 tickets to the following games: 8/25 vs Reds 9/5 vs San Francisco 9/8 vs St. Louis Section 423, Row 7. Face Value is $20 each. Looking to get $30 for the pair for each game PM me or reply if interested!!!
  2. this was exactly my thought. he and fielder have to carry the entire team. i would try ot be the hero during every at bat too, expecially in the 7th and 8th innings, knowing he probably wont get another AB...
  3. The 4# burger at Kelly's is the only local one i can think of. Never tried it - No way i could even get 1lb down... EDIT: spelling
  4. Sony 100w x 5 Home Theather in a Box - HTDDW670 Asking $125 for it. Was used for about 6 months as a senior in college, and haven't unpacked it since moving after graduation. I can provide specs/details if needed! http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/31B6NYK4PNL._SL500_AA280_.jpg
  5. counsell would be about 4th in my brewers MVP voting this year... which is a heck of a lot higher than I would have predicted in April.
  6. in order of recommendation: 1. go to travelzoo.com 2. go to kayak.com also, go to travelzoo.com and sign up for the weekly top 20 deals and go to airtran's site and sign up for their emails
  7. chris smith came into the animal hospital where my fiance works yesterday...
  8. first danzig let me say i love it every time you post because I get a kick out of your avatar every time. but as far as tyson, sounds like 3 kind of freak accidents in 1 year. If it were me, I would put all my faith in "a string of bad luck" and/or "bad things come in 3's", and try to be as careful as I could and hope nothing else happens. I know thats a crappy answer, but injuries are a lot different than a disease or cancer or something. If it were my dog, an expensive operation to fix a health condition or a disease or something is much different than broken bones. But like you said, he still could have 10-12 years left so if it were me, I would probably keep forking out the dough. A few questions: How old is your daughter? If she is still real young, I might be leary about letting her pick up tyson while he is outside and could suddenly jump out of her arms and she may not be able to control him. My fiance has a 6 year old daughter, and she wants to hold and carry around our cat every chance she gets. But too often enough, she drops him or mishandles him because she really doesn't understand yet both her strength and what you can/can't do to a pet when you are playing with it or carrying it.
  9. the Port Washington plant is closed. I work in Engineering and we are down in Wauwatosa at the main Briggs & Stratton facility. The tractor and snowblower production has moved to Georgia, Tennessee and New York... Some testing is still done in Port Washington though at the same place.
  10. #1 recommendation for Boston is to take the "Freedom Trail" if you have never done it. And do it right: start at the beginning and cross the bridge. and finish the whole thing. It will definately take up most of one day in Boston, but to see the history is worth it. As far as for baseball games, definately get to Fenway 2+ hours before a game, especially on a weekend. the giant tailgate party and the bars next to the stadium are awesome. I also recommend going to the Harvard area and hit up some drinking establishments if you are in Boston for multiple nights. After a Brewer game last year, it was so crowded around the stadium we took a cab to the Harvard area and it was a great time.
  11. speaking of striping lawns... here's a shameless plug for the company i work for... http://www.simplicitymfg.com/ when it comes to striping, Simplicity is definately "The way to a Beautiful Lawn"

  15. Anyone see the commercial for the "Bigs 2" video game with Prince Fielder completely destroying that Cubs catcher at the play at the plate? I myself am not into sports video games, but that game is awesome. Here's a screenshot of the commercial from youtube.
  16. i went to steve's in elm grove for about 20 years. however, two of their stylists/barbers/hair-cutters left and opened up their own barber shop in brookfield. it's in a plaza near capitol drive and calhoun rd. when i dont have my hair cut at home, i would visit Eileen at "The Barbers"

  20. well seinfeld is the greatest TV show ever, so they had to find a phrase from there... but there are better seinfeld catchphrases than yada-yada
  21. I watched/recorded 3 Star Wars movies that were shown in HD on MTV this weekend. I watched these with my gf's kids, who love Star Wars. But of course MTV, while airing a marathon of PG rated movies, were still showing near-X-rated commercials, which was completely ridiculous. I understand that it's MTV, but I feel a station should direct their commercials based on the type of show/movie that is airing. I mean seriously, what person watching Star Wars gives a crap about the new season of Paris Ho-lton's stupid TV show...
  22. last few times the brewers were on ESPN = not good. last time brewers were on ESPN vs St Louis = very good. hopefully the brewers' fortunes against the cardinals outweigh their fortunes on ESPN lately...
  23. i have had a Dell laptop for about 4 years. it has never given me any problems until earlier this year. there are 2 main issues with it: 1. after about 30 minutes of running, i can feel the laptop get really hot. i can't even have it on my lap anymore after that - it is too uncomfortable. i used to leave my computer on for days at a time (when i first got it), but now i never leave it on for more than an hour. any idea what the problem is? broken fan? i am clueless? 2. when i turn my computer on, i see my desktop in a normal about of time (< 30 seconds?), but it takes another 1-2 full minutes for my icons to appear. i know it's only a few minutes, but it feels like an eternity from the time i push "power" until the time i can begin using my computer each time i turn it on. and since i have to turn my computer off every time i am done using it, it's a big pain. especially when i only need to use my computer for a few minutes. any help would be appreciated!
  24. i saw 2 episodes, the spartan vs ninja and the pirate vs knight. i am DVR'ing two more tonight. i find the show very entertaining, but as people have already pointed out, it is very flawed... but i do think the spartan winning more often than losing is correct... SPARTANS!!! AAH-OOH!!! AAH-OOH!!!
