    I would throw in a vote for Freeway for sure. There's a lot of people I know that went to games at County Stadium that know who he is.

    Crab cakes and Football. That's what Maryland does. Tex is neither a crab cake nor does he play football, therefor he's free to assiciate with whatever team he wants. Like CC, if the Yankees waiver MILLIONS of dollars in front of his face, can you really blame him for taking it? The best part is that Tex hasn't produced anything in the first couple of games. Every time he has a bad game I'm going to smile knowing that the Yankees just pissed away $139,000 on Texeira for that game.

    I think I will be going Sunday. I want to try and make it Friday. Maybe get a Pete Rose bat and get my Ron Dayne 8x10 signed of him breaking the rushing record. I think I have the ticket stub too. I'm waiting to see if they add anyone else on Friday.

    Yeah it appears that basically Legends is piggy backing off of other sports memorabilia companies to get bigger signings and taking that company's regular price and then jacking up the price to make a huge profit. Essentially charging a premium to meet the player here in the Milwaukee area. With Braun they are making about $50 per autograph because they are going through Mikita. If you want Yount, I would suggest waiting until the sports show in Chicago in July, I would bet that he will probably be cheaper there. If it's just a baseball you're looking for from Hank Aaron and not something that you specifically want to get signed, I would look for it at one of the shows in Chicago as well. I got one down there that's PSA certified for $100. It's my hope that Legends will fall flat on their face realizing in this market and this economy they can't get away with those ridiculous prices. Even the prices for Hart and Hardy I thought were pretty ridiculous.

    I thought I'd see if there's anyone interested in this Prince Fielder signed 2007 All-Star Jersey. I put it up on Craigslist and just realized there's someone else with the same jersey up there (signed in a different spot).     On a little lighter note, one time I saw Suppan at the players lot last year and one guy explained to him that the autograph was just for him and he wasn't going to be selling it to anyone. Suppan just looked at him and said "hey, you gotta do what you gotta do, if you want to sell it, go right ahead." I thought that was pretty entertaining that a player really didn't care. The Bob Feller's of the world may not cost much, but at least everyone that wants his autograph has access to get one for cheap. On the other side, you've got a guy like Sandy Koufax that knows exactly how much his autograph is worth. I'm not trying to fuel the fire either way, but I would still be kind of upset if I got in line for Braun instead of Hoffman or Fielder, only to find out my item was going to be personalized. I don't sell me items, but someday my kids are going to have little use for an autograph addressed to me. I guess for the big items like a jersey I would pay the extra money to have it signed the way I wanted it. Not that everyone can afford to do that, but at least you're not dissappointed with the way that the autograph turns out. Braun is still fairly reasonable to get from a private signing. On another note, I do have to praise Prince Fielder for being one of the most popular Brewers and signing so well at these events. I've seen some items that he signs at ballparks that are rushed, but he does a nice job signing items when he's at a sit down event like this.

    I worked in Miller Park a couple years ago and I know on of the offices had a TON of bobbleheads. It was the year that they had the 82 bobbles on Friday's and they had the Retro Blue variant of all of them, plus all of the rare bobbles from previous years. It was pretty sweet to see.

A while back Jon from Anderson Authentics did a signing with Gamel that I got a couple items from. They all turned out really nice and he's a great guy to work with. He just told me about a Private signing with Taylor Green and Lorenzo Cain that he got a bunch of game-used items from. Prices are pretty good for game-used. Items and prices are below along with any items that are in short supply. Just e-mail him at and tell him Greg told you about it. Taylor Green- Bats (cracked, name engraved)-$65 per Batting Gloves (pair)-$25 per Spikes (pair)-$50 per Fielding Glove-$250 per Lorenzo Cain- Bats (cracked, name engraved)-$75 per Batting Gloves (pair)-$35 per (two pairs left) Spikes (pair)-$60 per (three pairs left) All items are signed and inscribed with year of use. Each batting glove and spike are signed and inscribed individually.

    Well it sucks that he signed with the Yanks. It just makes me want to cheer harder for the Rays to win that division again next year and prove that money doesn't buy everything. :o)
