  4. A: You've got to be kidding me. Q: Ryan Klesko stealing a base.
  5. A: Frustrating Q: What is the Brewers offense since Bill Hall's injury??
  6. Giants D. Roberts-CF R.Winn-RF R.Durham-2B B. Bonds-LF R.Klesko-1B B.Molina-C P.Feliz-3B O.Vizquel-SS T.Lincecum-P Brewers C.Hart-RF J.J. Hardy-SS R.Braun-3B P.Fielder-1B J.Estrada-C G.Jenkins-LF T.Gwynn-CF C.Counsell-2B D. Bush-P What are the lineups??
  7. What is.....the Cubs will lose the next two to the D'backs and the Brew Crew will be back to 4.5 games up by Monday.
  8. Chris Spurling is back and DM had said they will meet this morning to discuss their options. The logical move is to send Balfour or Parra back down but DM said they make want to keep 13 pitchers for now with this stretch of games they are on, plus a DH coming up. So it could very well be a position player. The smart money is on Gabe Gross.
  9. No way do I do that trade. I am laughing at some of the panicing. Tell me why you wouldn't do that deal?? Do you realize just how much of a boost Griffey would be to this offense?? What are you really losing in the deal?? Maybe you think Gwynn can give you the power Griffey would the rest of the way?? BTW, it's not panicking, because I fully realize the Cubs cannot keep playing .800 ball. You just need to seize the opportunity that is in front of you, and give yourself the best possible chance to win this division. It's been 25 years, I don't want to wait any longer, and you just never know what can happen in the future and if you'll ever have a chance like this again. (offset quote with italics --1992casey)
  10. It's time to stop messing around and letting the Cubs think they have ANY chance of passing the Crew. A deal like this could not only be a MAJOR spark for the Crew, but also deflating to the Cubs. Parra,Escobar, Gwynn and whoever else they need(Weeks??) to get it done. Obviously I am not talking about any of the untouchables. I'd hate to give up Rickie, but if that is what it takes to get Griffey you do it. The opportunity is NOW for the Crew and if you don't take advantage of it, you may never have this kind of opportunity again. EDIT: removed extra punctuation from subject line -BtA
  11. Has anyone else noticed that the Brewers offensive funk has directly coincided with Hall going down?? That's about the time it started.
  12. You know, it's kind of unfair for us to get PO'd at the Crew when they lose after the Cubs have won their game. The Cubs are just playing absolutely, unbelievable baseball right now and every single break is going their way right now. Since the AS break the Brewers have been good, the problem is the Cubs have been out of this world good. Keep the faith people. No team can keep playing almost .800 ball. You have to know the Cubs hot streak is almost over and they still haven't caught the Crew. Just remember, through it all, they are still the Cubs and they will start showing that again real soon.
  13. Here are the lineups tonight: San Francisco CF Dave Roberts SS Omar Vizquel RF Randy Winn LF Barry Bonds 1B Ryan Klesko 2B Rich Aurilia 3B Pedro Feliz C Guillermo Rodriguez LHP Noah Lowry Milwaukee CF Corey Hart SS J.J. Hardy 3B Ryan Braun 1B Prince Fielder RF Kevin Mench LF Tony Graffanino C Damian Miller 2B Rickie Weeks RHP Jeff Suppan
  14. I'm not blaming Mench, but bad stuff always seems to happen to him. He'll make up for it his next AB. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif
  15. For you guys to be blaming Mench for that slip is ridiculous. It was a fluke thing, unfortunately those things happen from time to time. Now had he had it right in his glove then dropped it, then he could be blamed. I just think it's unfair to blame a guy for something like that. That would be akin to blaming Rickey for not getting to that little falir that scored the 2nd run.
  16. I really don't like Derrek Lee regaining his home run stroke back... I really don't like the fact that he hasn't had to serve his suspension yet, and the commishs office seemingly has no interest in suspending him anytime soon either. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/frown.gif
  17. It would be a travesty for the Brewers to lose a game in which Soup pitches really well(assuming it stays that way) for the first time in a long time. Especially if they were to lose 1-0. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/frown.gif
  18. Speaking of D. Lee, isn't it about damn time for him to serve his suspension?? What the heck is taking so long??
  19. I got a good feeling about Jenks today. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif
  20. New report on Sheets.. Distal finger strain for Sheets, whatever that is.
  21. Am I the only one that thought Gwynn hit it out? Nope, I thought so too when it left the bat.
  22. Just had the radio on and Jim Powell was saying a blister for Sheets. JP isn't one to just speculate, so he must have gotten word from the clubhouse.
  23. Ball Game. I hate to say it, but come August 1st, if not sooner this team won't be in 1st place anymore.http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/frown.gif
  24. Ok so FSN pre game was wrong...it is Gross instead of Jenkins, but either way, it's still 5 lefties in a row.
  25. First time poster..... Jenkins is in the lineup today according to FSN pre game. What an odd lineup....5 lefties in a row?? Hart Hardy Braun Fielder Estrada Jenkins Gwynn Counsell Cappy Very unlike Ned to stack that many lefties in a row.
