  1. so since i live in milwaukee and have no cable i'm thinking about signing up for this. does that mean i can't watch home games, but can still watch away games?
  2. turnbow is the rex grossman of pitchers
  3. already beat it twice to get both endings, but haven't touched it in the past week. i'm gonna wait a while before i play it again to make it a fresh experience again. But wow, what an amazing game. First time i played it i played it in two 10 hour gaming sessions, it drew me in that much. Gotta say, i made the mistake of harvesting all the little sisters the first time, it was much easier the second when saving them cause you get so much more out of it. The game play is inovative and amazing, but the real gem of the game is the storyline. I haven't seen a storyline in a game this good since Ocorana of time.
  4. Downloading the demo right now, but still not sure whether i'm going to spend most my gaming time playing this or Mass Effect. As of right now Mass Effect looks better , but maybe this demo will change my mind. Either way i'm getting both, and this fall is going to be one of the best quaters for video gaming, especially if you own a 360.
  5. last homegame on a friday. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif
  6. I think that's a little generous to say weeks look good the first month. I personally don't think he's looked good at all this year. Besides the obvious hole at 2nd, we desperatly need to add a catcher who knows how to call a game and can hustle (yes i know catchers aren't going to be the fastest out there, but there's no excuse for basically crawling along the basepaths)
  7. I went to a game during the first home stand with the giants with my father and we discussed our feelings about bonds and the record (naturally) and he brought up despite how much people in wisconsin will hate barry for taking the record away from hank because of their views on him using drugs, but Favre used painkillers in the middle of his career to keep himself playing and was addicted to them, yet no one ever talks about that when brining up the records he can/did break. Not that it's even close to the scale of bonds' cheating, but it's something i've wondered what other wisconsin sports fans would feel about.
  8. What a horrible, horrible day for baseball in the city of milwaukee.
  9. I wonder if ned even has anyone warming up in the bullpen incase things start getting worse Edit: And theres my answer, not till there's runners on the corners with no outs.
  10. Triple cheese burger add with prince and his dad was posted today, and prince goes ahead and gets a triple. nice coincidence. i wonder how many bags prince has pancaked with his belly flops this year, maybe he can do some adds for mc donalds pancakes with his slides.
  11. Why is Geddy Lee at the game? Anyway, Cubs are losin 3 - 1 now thanks to el cabaillo. I really don't like seeing Cappy keep diving off the mound at pitches, we don't need another starter on the dl.
  12. Plus the fact that losing a pitcher only means your team is affected every 5 or so games, when with losing a positional player, especially someone like Soriano who will play almost every single day. Plus if the cubs have the depth like that article says, then why aren't they bringing Pie back up? Instead they're bringing up a second baseman to play outfeild.
  13. I'd imagine Cecil took it to las vegas or atlantic city and it was never heard from again... http://static.yuku.com/v2//domainskins/bypass/img/smileys/wink.gif
  14. Villy is fine, he just needs a few days off. Personally i think we should throw Para in his spot to eat up innings instead, maybe even Leinbrink if we need someone for two. As for wise, i think DL'ing him would just make things worse. Why not just send him down to triple a, and if he still doesn't have it maybe even double just to let him slowly rebuild his confidence.
  15. That could be the worst thing possible for this franchise right now.
  16. No. We're bad enough on the road that we'd have to play falwlessly at home, which we aren't doing anymore. You can't win 1 of every 3 on the road and expect to win your division.
  17. If he was fired during the season (which i don't think would happen) then i'd say Kremblas. If he's fired in the off season i'd say try and get Giradi. I know he was stubborn about the Baltimore job, but i think Mark has enough money to throw at him plus the fact that we are a legitamite contender. Also, one thing that makes me believe Ned will be fired at the end of the season is that come september, when the football season starts, if the brewers are playing as badly as they are now attendance is going to drop along with ratings. That won't make Mark all too happy.
  18. What i don't get is why yost went to wise so quikly after having him start warming up in the 6th (maybe 7th). Oh well, we won so i guess there's not as much to vent about after todays game. Yes it was ugly, but it keeps us one up so i'll take it.
  19. Matt Wise was warming up in the 6th (maybe 7th). Why ned, why would you bring him in now? You know he's got to be tired.
  20. I nominate the 6 through 9 spot in the brewers line up for Chicago Cubs 2007 MVP.
  21. Right here with you I never felt like making a trade for salty had been a good thing till Estrada's lack of effort. Granted Johnny wasn't the only one who failed us tonight. Any one else noted how despite the pitcher going 10 innings, no one would work up counts in the 7th, 8th, 9th or even tenth. I managed to show a lot of self restraint and not smash my tv when it came to those innings and we were still swinging at everything. When it came to the tenth i believe Harang entered with 107 pitches, yet every player was taking big cuts. It seemed like everyone was trying to put them in the lead with one swing, and this isn't the first game i've seen this in. Skaalen needs to ride them about that, it's been going on all year and we're to the point and time that this is going to start costing us the wrong games and someone in the coaching staff has to step up and raise his voice.
  22. It looks like prince is going for a kiss on billy there, not sure if it's the best piture but i get what you're saying.
  23. Also, isn't it kind of an advantage for us to have the cubs hosting the last series we have together? After all, the visiting team has won every series this year except for the last one, and we would've won that if not for coco's implosion in game one.
  24. from espn: What i don't get is why don't they say anything usefull about why they placed the teams where they are, they usually just throw a random stat out there about one player. If the cubs are on top of us cause they're hot, why didn't they put colorado on top of some of the other nl west teams when they got hot? Also, both LA and San Diego have played horribly in their last 10, so why is it that some teams are judged by their past week while others are judged by how big their market is?
  25. The schedual isn't balanced anymore. And who cares about the incredably lucky things that happen to the cubs. As long as we play good too (like we've started doing again) we'll be fine.
