  1. I didn't see the thread when I just got on and thought it was deleted or moved to the random thoughts thread. Alright, I'm pumped for the season... I've always got some dose of preseason optimism.
  2. I figured with Tom's blog about players starting to report, it was time for me to start making my daily trips to Brewerfan.net. I only post sparsely, but during the season I'm at the site every day. For all those members that take the off season mostly... off from this site like myself, it's time to report back in! Hello again, brewerfan.net. Let the fun begin.http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  3. I haven't been on the board in a few days, but I was pretty sure this would be a current topic. It just amazes me that Hall doesn't try to go opposite field more often. You''ll get more pitches inside Billy if you would ever stop trying to pull every pitch for an extended period of time. It's so frustrating how stubborn he must be. I don't know how reliable bobskube is (I'm not saying you're not, bobskube), but I don't even need him to tell me what Sveum told him, because it's obvious Hall has never stopped trying to pull the ball. Rant done.
  4. I'm going on Friday instead of Saturday now. I don't have a parking pass with these. I'm just looking to get my money back on here, which is $87 after all the nonsense fees, but if I don't get any bites by Thursday I will try to get top dollar on Craigslist. Here are the details from my email... (by the way, I have no idea what it means by obstructed view). Cubs at Brewers Saturday, 5/9/09 at 6:05PM CDT Obstructed View Seating- Terrace Box Section Row Seat Price Type OBS429 4 1 $25.00 Web Marquee Game Presale OBS429 4 2 $25.00 Web Marquee Game Presale OBS429 4 3 $25.00 Web Marquee Game Presale Total Convenience Fee for 3 seats $9.75 Price for 3 seats $84.75 ---------------------------------------------------------- Subtotal: $84.75 Order Processing (including delivery): $2.00 Total: $86.75 Thank you, Milwaukee Brewers
  5. I know this is too much to ask for, but is there any way we can pinch hit for Kendall next inning?
  6. I purposely came on to comment about this. This is one of the worst and longest interviews I think I've ever heard... And it's finally over. That was pretty funny how uncomfortable they all were up there.
  7. Buckethead Brigade... I'm trying to pm you, but Yuku seems to be freezing up on me when I try.
  8. Ok, the tickets are back to being available. I apologize, My friend just reminded me that we have to use the free ticket from the final game last year by Wednesday or the 27th, so we are going to use our voucher for Wednesday's game now. They are back up for grabs.
  9. Treego, I wish they'd make you honorary manager for any catching decisions. That is the perfect plan in my opinion. Kendall has been nothing but a first class personality since joining the Brewers, but I'm sick of the automatic out feeling when he comes to the plate. I feel better when Yo, Manny, or Bush are at bat compared to Kendall.
  10. I would take them and I live in New Berlin.
  11. The biggest "huh?!?" moment in my head when reading the blog was when Tom H said staff wanted him to get an MRI done and he refused. What?! The Brewers should have said then... "No, we're paying you 45 million dollars to play baseball, so you're going to lay down in a machine for 30 minutes and take an MRI." It's not like he has to pay for it.
  12. Why couldn't we start off Bush, Looper, Soup, Yo, Parra? I understand the sacrificial lamb aspect, but Soup certainly hasn't earned opening day status in camp, and I really feel like Bush has. Plus, you know that Suppan is going to get rocked by the Cubs... and no, I don't feel like I'm underestimating him. With this order Soup doesn't see the Cubs, and I actually like our chances with Bush vs. Lincecum. Look at me... I'm already getting frustrated with the manager again.
  13. Honestly, I don't care who Rivera is matched up with as long as he's starting every 5th game. Bush seems to have stayed right on track from last year, so I'm fine with it.
  14. The photoshoot was taken before the steroids fiasco was released
  15. Does this mean Seth could start the home opener?
  16. Leffs and a few other bars were barely able to scrap some tickets together last year. Unfortunately, one of the side effects of success is greater demand. You won't find any bar packages this year.
  17. Thanks guys. I was not on my normal computer, which is why I wasn't automatically logged in. However, that's nice to know anyways. Although next time I'll try to search the site a little better. I would have missed the trading post. That's where I got last minute playoff tickets from "ewizabeff" last year. She gave me a great deal, which is just another reason why this site is the best fan site around.

  19. I'm assuming this has been brought up before, but I can't find the forum for buying/selling/exchanging tickets and other items. I know it was abused in the past, so I'm guessing it was taken off the site for similar reasons. However, just in case I have gone blind and it does still exist, would someone be kind enough to let me know where it is or what happened to it? Thank you.

  21. If it is Suppan I am going to go nuts. I know it is only one game, but it will be deja vue. Suppan starting instead of Yo. Now where have I seen that before?
  22. I love that quote. A big smile came over my face when I read it. As long as Rivera keeps the bat going this year Kendall will have nothing to complain about.
  23. 95-67 Although, I'll warn everyone... I've thought the Brewers were going to make the playoffs every year since 2004. I'm not bold. I am just ever the optimist. I see Gallardo, Parra, and Bush becoming a triumvirate of starting domination. I see Prince coming to the box opening day weighing 30 pounds less than he did at the end of last season. I see Hoffman dominating with a sub 2.0 era (Okay, maybe not that one). Oh yeah, Braun is amazing and will continue to incite more hatred from St. Louis and Chicago fans.
  24. Being one of those who got suckered into the excitement of the Suppan signing, I agree that this just adds depth and we shouldn't really expect him to be better than a .500 starting pitcher. But, then again, baseball works in funny ways sometimes (Don't I sound wise and philosophical?).
  25. Point taken... the optimist in me was hoping that they would work on McClung's endurance in the offseason and he would get a chance to earn a rotation spot in spring training. Heck, if I was really dreaming I would say they should send Soup to the pen but we know that's not going to happen.
