  1. Kendall for MVP??? Riggghhhtttt, Bill.
  2. Kendall for MVP??? Riggghhhtttt, Bill.
  3. Fat Fielder strikes again.
  4. I think Rivera has clearly shown he can't handle the pressure of major like hitting like Kendall. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif
  5. I'm going to the game tomorrow. Is Yo going to be starting or not? Someone give me a definitive answer.
  6. I'm happy Prince has turned his hitting around when we've needed it the most, and if he is a major reason we squeak into the playoffs, then I will happily eat most of my recent negative words about him. I still think he needs to get a personal trainer and be on a strict diet in the offseason to get back down to how he looked 2 years ago.
  7. It's not BCU's fault. We are the Detroit Lions of the MLB. Even when we start off strong, we always collapse and screw it up somehow. I'm not one to believe in curses, but we would be a prime suspect for having one if they did exist. On second thought, we'd be lucky to be the Detroit Lions since they've actually made the playoffs in the past 25 years.
  8. It's not that I hate Kendall. It's that he's deemed so good to have played the second most games of any catcher in the whole league... and to the question of who I'd rather have in as a pinch hitter my answer is RIVERA by a mile.
  9. Thank you for the loss today, Prince.
  10. Adam, that was perfect (laughing, I hate putting lol). Even though Kendall just got on base I still hate how Sveum continues the Kendall infatuation that Yost had. Why, why, why?!? Oh, also, I'd like to say that having the team strikeout leader (even after missing the first month) lead off is almost as dumb as putting Sheets in as a pinch hitter
  11. I'll watch, but it will be like someone who is paralyzed and can't change the channel by himself
  12. Schroeder just said Rivera plays a third of the games... Have I been watching a different team?
  13. Just wondering... would it be that far out to move Corey to center and put Gamel in RF, or Gamel in LF and Braun in RF? Braun picked up LF very well for the little to no experience he had.
  14. I'm in shock(Hall and Rivera)... and Braun needs to get healthy... and go get them Manny.
  15. This topic is not meant to flame Kendall. For the record, I have been pleased with what Kendall brings to this team defensively and I appreciate his ability to take a walk, but you can put me in the category of those who believe Rivera should be getting more starts than he has been. Anyway, this got me thinking... why does Kendall have absolutely no power? When I was watching him bat the obvious answer seemed to be that he leans forward which would greatly diminish generating energy from his legs, but I am not a mechanics guy and don't know if that is the reason (I only played 3 years of little league). Might he be sacrificing power in order to make better contact? Would someone here with some experience explain this to me please...
  16. I think I might be experiencing deja vu... is this the same crappy line up that gave no run support for Sheets last time he pitched? Honestly, I would have no problem making Rivera Sheets' designated catcher until his bat cooled off.
  17. New Berlin Eisenhower Lions class of 04. I can't say I had too much school pride, but I went to plenty of the sporting events. Someone will have to tell me if they know anyone famous who graduated from there because I sure can't think of anyone.
  18. Those stats right there are pretty much the beginning and the end of the debate, as to whether those two players are receiving far too much playing time. But didn't you hear the broadcast yesterday... Counsell's stellar defense warrants his 500th start in a row. (As if that makes any sense considering he was playing for J.J. yesterday.)
  19. And now I'll agree with a Brewer's fan (moof)... I was thinking the same thing... "this would be a great time to pinch hit for Kendall." I thought he should have started the game anyway, but I suppose that would have made too much sense.
  20. Those are some outstanding nicknames. Where did you come up with them? I started cracking up when I read that. I'm going to have to agree with the Cubs fan here... we can be more witty than that.
  21. I'm guessing that the OP is by far a bigger Brewer fan than Packer fan (not that there's anything wrong with that). I'll admit I'm a die hard Packer fan, but the Brewers have always been a close second for me. That being said... I may have some bias towards the Packers, but even when I try to look at the comparison fairly there is no way (in my unscientific opinion) any Brewer is close to being as popular statewide as Driver and probably Rodgers and Kampman (Grant's a possibility too). This state is and will be for the foreseeable future Packerland. I do think however, that if Braun were to stay with the Brewers for his entire career and were to make the HOF he could easily be number 1 if Rodgers doesn't pan out.
  22. I concur Chez... I would have done the same thing if I had to dodge two pitches right at my head.
  23. Prince showing his child like maturity level there.
