I, for one, am content to just take it and soak up the succulent crumbs of yummy goodness served up by the front office. Sure, Santos could be a one-year wonder and Davis a fluke, but don?t you see that we are small market team prospecting for future gold. It should not matter if we mine a few nuggets on the way to baseball nirvana, we should be content with any wins since this is a throwaway year. On Melvin?s map x marks the spot in 2007 and death to the infidels who deviate from the almighty plan! Did we ever deviate from Infallible Sal?s Stagnation Plan? NO! Did we deviate from the Copy Cleveland Plan? NO! Nor should we take advantage of serendipitous circumstances now! The Milwaukee Brewers have a job security plan in place that will keep the front office employed for several years, while the board tries for the big payday. Success is an inconvenience. Winning was not on the map. However, I am content. Happy that my baseball overlords see fit to humor me with at least half a team. Complaining about the current state of the team is unpatriotic, un-American and just plain selfish. We should be perfectly content automatons, willing to throw our money and time toward the smoke and mirrors of the future, despite the fact that it is the same script as the past 20 years with a few different actors and a lower budget. ARRRRRGHHHHHHH!!!!
