  1. A kid I went to HS with a few years back was doing something similar at Miller Park last year and ended up in the hospital for close to two weeks, not knowing if he was going to be able to walk for most of that time. He is walking and drinking again, watching baseball somewhere in between.
  2. July 4th- The Roots, Derek Trucks, Lotus, Phil Lesh and Friends Also very crunchy braaaahs!
  3. July 1st- YONDER MOUNTAIN STRING BAND gonna be gettin high on bluegrass! (highest energy show of the 10 days guaranteed, check it out if you are down there July 1. It is a freaking blast.) Anything else is AAA material.
  4. Even when I would take my laptop to school, I would still prefer to write out my notes by hand and then wait until a week or so before the exam and then go back and type them out. Not only are you getting all of the info back into you head when you type it back up but I feel its easier to study off of something that is typed than something that comes out of a notebook. I was a political science major though, so most of the stuff I was writing down wasn't in the form of a diagram or anything that I couldn't just explain or convert into word format. I definitely second the idea of getting out of the house. I have to do this for just about any sort of work I need to get done. It's funny I work at a desk in front of a computer all day and I have a lot of down time but I can;t get myself going on studies until I remove myself from the possibility of browsing the interwebs.
  5. I work on the eastside and could make an arrangement to pick these up if they are still available....
  6. hear that? of course you don't, there is no phone to the bullpen at wrigley, just two cups attatched to a string. Either way, get somebody in this game that doesn't suck at pitching.
  7. throw him one more inning with someone ready to go if he struggles. meat of the order coming up for the Chubs.
  8. Thanks for rubbing salt into the wound. Aplogies, I posted this before most people expressed problems with the log in. Only expressing the excitement from pulling tickets he day before Opening Day without dealing with RayRay and his associates next to Helfaer.
  9. I'm in the Milwaukee area and curently have Time Warner. We were looking into getting DISH once our 12 monthes is up and the rates increase. Can someone give me any imput on DISH? I have heard that a couple times when fellow fans have tried to watch a Brewer game they were treated to a Minnesota Wild hockey game or a Twins home game. I would rather not buy a package specifically for the games that aren't carried by FSN on DISH.
  10. don't see how you could lose here, unless your buddy happens to be my wife. Either way count me in! Thanks
  11. I remember last year some time someone posted a sendspace or mediafire or similar link to download the "Brewer Fever" MP3. A friend of mine wants to use it as his ring tone and I no longer have it on my computer, just on an Ipod. I would appreciate if someone could up this again, even though I know it drives half of the people here crazy. Thanks!
  12. Great argument on ticket prices too. Purhaps he should try something other than ebay or stubhub.
  13. I called yesterday and they said they are holding about 2,000 give or take, with most of them being standing room only. Last year we got there around 4pm Friday and were maybe the 6th group of people to set up shop and I would say there were 30 or 40 people in front of us, but by midnight I would estimate there were close to 150 or so people there at the very least.
  14. I just got a call from my ticket rep and since I am still $60 short of my full payment for my nine pack, I can no longer get opening day tickets as my tenth game. So I don't know what to do now. It might be back to camping out at MP again this year. Last year we were maybe 25 people back and there were only standing room and family section left. I think it might be easier this year since they are limiting it to 4 tickets each instead of the first people all taking tons of tickets.
  15. 5 gallon bucket and a refrigerator (or just large) box = porta potty problem solved I'm willing to bet that I will make my parking money back too.
  16. I can also say the same exact thing. I was running high school track and had the same thing happen. I wasn't able to run even close to full speed for more than a month and when I was finally able to compete again I would run my race (400m sprint) and immediately go to the trainer and have it worked on and wouldn't be able to run again for a few days. Trying to use it just prolongs the healing time in quad injuries. If he is fielding balls any sooner than 3 weeks I would be surprised and in that case I would try to hit everything to left.
  17. Did anyone notice how much Cards fans enjoy the simple act of clapping? Man, after the game we were going to give the "everybody clap yo hands" call on the way down the escalator because we were sure everyone in red would instinctually start clapping like crazy. I'm not saying this is a bad thing, just something everyone in my group noticed at the end of the weekend. Great fans in St. Louis, great baseball scene around the stadium before and after games as well.
