  1. This talk about Lazard and Cobb to the Jets leads me to believe Rodgers isn't hemming and hawing...he's negotiating.
  2. I know my 12 year old dog is going to die some day but it's still going to be a sad day when he does.
  3. East is pretty loaded this year. Don't overlook Cleveland or the Knicks. Playoffs should be fun.
  4. I think it's reasonable to be sad about Rodgers leaving while also understanding it's part of pro sports. Also, Rodgers is from northern California.
  5. My sense is that the Jets and Packers know exactly what's up and there is some kind of negotiation between all three parties going on behind the scenes.
  6. I see a lot of people "blaming" Rodgers for this "delay" and I am not sure why or what problem he is causing if he is, in fact, taking a few extra hours to figure stuff out.
  7. He's 22 and it's a matter of scale and what the market will pay. Why not sign for $50 million if all you're looking to do is get set up for life? Heck why not sign for $10 million? Point is some people (NOT ME) think he didn't get enough. Obviously there are many guys that prefer the security over other potential 20% bump in lifetime earnings.
  8. I think 30 but yes potentially. I'm just passing along the info. It will be interesting to see how his career progresses.
  9. well yeah I don't think anyone is asking to feel sorry for him. Point being he may be missing out on a lot of money. And his kids and grand kids would be set if he signed for $15 million.
  10. The Jets had something like 5 losses by 1 TD or less. They have a good defense and good skill players. A good QB could make a huge difference for them.
  11. I've seen a few pundits say they think Carroll will regret signing this deal.
  12. It's annoying the Bears have a GM that seems to be smart. I still don't think Fields is the answer though. edit: although even if Fields is not the answer, they have extra picks to get a QB next draft if they want. They are in a pretty good position.
  13. I am talking about the length of the games. Getting them under 3 hours is better for TV.
  14. Lions are currently favorites to win the NFC North.
  15. If Love bombs they may not have to move up
  16. being underwhelmed by the return is a very real possibility if the Jets pay all of Rodgers salary. I'm just hoping for at least one first round pick.
  17. Getting rid of Brown was stupid
  18. There have been a number of basketball/football players. Julius Peppers, Jimmy Graham, Martellus Bennett, Antonio Gates...and others.
  19. The way this is worded it seems like the whole Jets team flew out there...which would be funny.
  20. Ed Reed ran a 4.57 😀
  21. Gonna be rough if Rodgers talks to Jets and says "meh, I'd rather play for GB". If GB doesn't want him it's gonna be weird. I think what I want someone to lay out the real-world ramifications for all these $60 bajillion cap hits. Everyone keeps talking about them like it's the end of times but what does that actually mean? Do they have to cut or restructure half the team?
