  1. Brian, I was trying to send you a PM, but when I clicked on your named it brought up the Yuko(?) page and I didn't really see how to contact you. The message itself was no big deal, but I was just curious how to contact you in case something else comes up.
  2. Just curious why you wouldn't bunt him over there?
  3. Prince with a dooble. I'm guessing Ned bunts him over. I guessed wrong.
  4. How about BB, HR, HR and I go to bed. EDIT: or maybe HR, BB, HR http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  5. Hey, Jamie! This game isn't over! Was it over when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor???
  6. That breaking ball is just gnarly.
  7. Jeez, Counsell's hit .397 career with the bases juiced? I wonder how many ABs?
  8. OK, WHY is Yost not pinch hitting for Mench? He's got two lefty OF on the bench. EDIT: I guess that's why. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  9. Yeah Counsell is useless Actually, he's just slightly better than useless.
  10. I guess with Suppan coming up shortly and probably coming out of the game, that Ned decided to save his pinch hitters for the last three innings. Could have gone either way there I suppose.
  11. I thought about apinch hitter too.....maybe with men on base and less than two outs Ned would have done it.
  12. Yes, after three innings we can definitively state he was a waste of money.
  13. A double play would be just keen here.
  14. I don't have a good feeling about this one. Schmidt looks good. I predict multiple K's for Mench.
  15. What splits are you talking about? He crushed righties last year - not much to go on prior to that.
  16. OOF! Yeah I knew that. Strike that from the record, please.
  17. I'd kind of like to see Gross instead of Hart tonight.
  18. Not sure how feasible any of this is (since most require feeds from someplace else or manual intervention), but here goes: - be nice to have a stat recap of the previous days' 'stars' from all levels of the org. - I still think standings for each team in the org would be a nice thing to have (since you normally have to go to several places to see it all in one place) but I understand you need to get them from somewhere else so this probably won't work. - can we get the minor league scores in the Scoreboard section? - maybe the top five/ten of the power 50 with a link to the rest? - I think the article crawler and transactions should be more prominent. Maybe swap spots with the player index, store, and fan forum boxes. Since the player index and forum are already on the top menu, maybe you don't even need them on the right hand side. - As we get closer to the draft, I think it would be awesome to have some kind of daily blog by Colby on potential Brewers picks. Maybe just a paragraph with a link to more information. I guess to me, a main page is something with frequest updates. I tend to only look at it when there is a new story - usually I just skip right to the forum. Like I said, I realize not all of this is possible.....just brainstorming a little.
  19. Just out of curiosity (and ignorance), can a scouting director be considered responsible for minor league players received in trades? Does he have a say in who a GM gets in return? The reason I ask is because Carlos Villanueva seems like a pretty nice haul for a guy like Wayne Frankline.
  20. Man if Turnbow's change is just wicked after a few heaters.
  21. You know someone will - even though success might well be because of natural progression of younger guys or the favorable matchups that Jenkins and Mench get.
  22. Opening Day is always amateur hour (like the bleachers at Wrigley). I went twice - probably will never go again unless I get really, really good seats.
  23. Good Lord, 9:30 in the morning and we're already at 4 pages? You people make me so proud! But.....I will not cry......I mean it.... Anyway, unfortunately for your truly I have a job interview this afternoon and will likely miss most if not all of the game. Hopefully you all take the reigns and re-cap things for me here in the IGT...and have a few frosty beverages as well.
