  1. I'm a Brewer fan FROM Alaska. Does that count? I wouldn't worry, there are plenty of Wisconsonites in the AK. Top Favorite NFL teams in Anchorage anyway . . . 1) San Francisco (?) 2) Seattle 3) Green Bay 4) Dallas (a lot of oil field people from Texas) 5) Vikings (stupid minnesotans also bring up live Northern Pike and stock the lakes illegally and they immediately destroy the trout population)
  2. Comcast/MLB.com
  3. i got a $150 renewal deal.
  4. You mean like that obviously juiced Jamie Moyer?
  5. Jose Bautista just a few years ago . . . December 15, 2003: Drafted by the Baltimore Orioles from the Pittsburgh Pirates in the 2003 rule 5 draft. June 3, 2004: Selected off waivers by the Tampa Bay Devil Rays from the Baltimore Orioles. June 28, 2004: Purchased by the Kansas City Royals from the Tampa Bay Devil Rays. July 30, 2004: Traded by the Kansas City Royals to the New York Mets for Justin Huber. July 30, 2004: Traded by the New York Mets with Matt Peterson (minors) and Ty Wigginton to the Pittsburgh Pirates for Kris Benson and Jeff Keppinger. Started in Pittsburgh ended in Pittsburgh.
  6. Everything is an upgrade from an A*Tron. Everything.
  7. But only if my make believe friends agree. Right, JJam75? What if I start calling you "The KatBot 7500?" Apparently that's an insult that knows no bounds.
  8. Really what's the point of it. People have different ideas, why is that a bad thing? Discuss.
  9. I drive into work each morning at 3am and get off at 10. One thing I will say about my schedule is that anything you need to get done is a lot easier, no traffic, and when you sleep in till 6:30 on Saturday it feels wonderful.
  10. I've been there. The food was fine but the signature Watermelon Wheat was horrid (I'm really not a fruit beer guy), and it was flowing like water that night. The other offerings were similar to average/good. I liked the venue the best of the SF Brew Pubs by far 'tho. SF is an odd beer town. They try, but they tend to care more about the "atmosphere" than the beer itself.
  11. I really like this article as a comparison vs the book and really agree with theses points . . . And for me, a non-fat Nite Owl is just wrong.
  12. Wow. I'm still stunned how craft brewing is still in its infancy in the midwest. Redhook and Rougue are about the only two Macro Beers that would show at a west coast festival. I looked a few of the brewers up (Viking, Keweenaw and Upland) and were surprised how many offering some of them had. (and BTW, cans?) Right now in the Northwest it's all about the IPA. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure some of them are really good beers, I just still have flashbacks to my 3 year internment in the TC, when my only option for "micro" was Summit and Capitol. Period. Which is why I'll always hold Capitol in somewhat high regard. At least to god it wasn't Summit. I hope a few more smaller crafts find footing there. What beer did the Green Bay Rackers have there? An entry from a home brew alliance would be high on my list. And perusing their website, one of y'all really needs to go to this next weekend in Wausau.
  13. I really like my new HP Laptop, it has the 10-key keypad which I need for work. $1,000 less than a comparable MacBook Pro, plus I don't meet the "coolness" factor yet. My iPhone gets embarrassed to be seen with me when i pull it out. my HP Notebook EDIT: A story from a MacStore visit. A cute girl was at the service "bar" trying to get her G4 macbook serviced. The service "dude" (you have to really have to look the part at this particular store) told her that the HD was dead and that they could replace it for $400 (which you could get online yourself for $75). She sighed and said, "well I really need it so I guess so. Could we upgrade the memory while we're at it?" The "dude" actually spit/laughed at her, "UPGRADE? HA!! No, we don't upgrade these. I could give you a $15 trade in, if you wanted to buy a new MacBook Pro." Which reminded me of the greatest Mac vc PC argument I have ever witnessed . . . . Mac guy: You know what you never see with a Mac? SPYWARE!!! PC guy (actually, like me an indifferent, best deal guy): Yeah, you know what you also never see with a Mac? FREEWARE!!!
  14. I was reading through my guide which arrived yesterday and got a little misty when reading about the Dodger's top prospect Andrew Lambo and they had the following quote . . . Ahh ...Chuck Crim dude could fill out the uni. http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_L5aU9SvCApI/R4fT7RqkGaI/AAAAAAAADP8/tPyv4JfZIfA/s320/the792-286.JPG Also Fermaint's plummet off the list, while understandable, is TOTALLY BOGUS!! VIVA LA FERMAINT!!!!!!!! http://farm2.static.flickr.com/1209/542933911_787ea4a95c.jpg?v=0
  15. 177-155. I refuse to be limited by things like "schedules"
  16. 6 x 24. Imagine the dizzying high. cost me $4.50. and you know I would have dug up the postage if you would have put me BELOW Hendrickson's dad. He's Minnesotan.
  17. She's cooked in that picture from chasing the Kong. The squirrels weren't up to her play toy standards. They broke real easy. I have a mausoleum going in a flower bed.
  18. I could lend you my dog. She's put two of the little rodents in the ground. http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3443/3303968324_049e1a27b6.jpg
  19. A rundown . . . TooLiveBrew : Volume, Volume, Volume. I hear he's afraid of crossing rivers 'tho. At least he's got good taste in women if not beer. Katuluu: Man that guy never forgets anything, especially if it has to do with David Hasselhoff and a cheap knockoff lightsaber. SoCalBrewfan: Ahhh . . .the voice of reason Brian the Whatever he is this Month.: That guy is on facebook a lot, even when he's at the hospital, again. Ajay: I've said it before. Best. Brewer Fan. Ever. Russ: Pushing the envelope since '03. Geek. Hawing: Nice enough for a book nerd, but a little weird. For god's sake, why would anyone plug my name into a search engine? I did make her hum some Schoolhouse Rocks once, so there's that. And That: How them sideburns coming? Got some PBR light in the fridge that I bought as a joke. I'll mail it to you. Robert: Prolly vibrating as the Watchmen movie nears. At least he was down with my Sidney Pollock hate in the Retro Oscar thread. So he's not all bad. ;-) The Al-Tron 3000: Aww. Was it me? Let's just say it was me. And it goes without saying that having Mass Haas and Colbyjack around embiggens us all. And finally I would like to give a shout out to our newest member saxyman1004 for having somebody dressed as Artie the Stongest Man in the World from The Adventures of Pete and Pete as his avatar. http://images.yuku.com/image/gif/1983629320845fbde228de17cabd3531fc5e9bbc_t.gif Unless that's Where's Waldo, if that's the case then GO TO HELL N00B!! http://www.honoluluzoo.org/images/bw_ruffed_lemur2_small.jpg

  22. Slide all those draft picks up 1! http://seattletimes.nwsou...008745452_mariside15.html
  23. I was thinking "Big Mike" from Chuck for Prince. He'd have to put on a few pounds, 'tho.
  24. The book was loose with the facts for dramatic effect. In the sequel, we find out that George Steinbrenner is Billy Beane's father. Ooops! SPOILER!
  25. Who's playing Eric Walker? Oh, that's right. According to Moneyball, he doesn't exist.
