5/31/2004 - Brewers (Wise) vs. Dodgers (Perez)
brewcrewkid14 posted a topic in Archived Game Threads
Well the Brewers look to start a tough nine game west coast road trip, hopefully on a good note. The Brewers are 13-12 in May and will try to have a second straight winning month. Matt Wise going up against Oliver Perez on paper LA definitely has the advantage. But, hopefully Wise can keep the game close and give the Brewers a chance. Brewers will try to tie the series back up tonight in an early evening, 6:05 CST, start. The task will be a tough one with the struggling Obermueller on the mound. Hopefully he has a quality start and gives the Brewers a chance to win the series tomorrow. Dennis Tankersley on the mound for SD is pitching for injured pitcher Jake Peavey and has pitched in 3 games of relief this season and has a 6.00 ERA. Let's hope the Brewers don't make him look like Cy Young like they tend to do to these kinds of Pitchers. First, I am not sure if you were one of the people that were wanting Ginter to play so much, but remember everyone wanting Ginter to play so badly and how we were ripping Yost for not playing him. Second, it wasn't Yost that brought up Hart. Melvin made that desision I am pretty sure. Correct me if I am wrong, but I think that the GM promotes and demotes guys to and from the minors. I agree on one part though, it isn't going to do Hart ANY good to sit on the Bench. -

If Ford can't hold this lead he needs to be demoted immediately. I would rather have him released than assigned to AAA. All right Brew'Crew that a way to get a sweep under our belt. -

Beloit game postponed due to rain. I live about 5 miles south of Beloit and it is really coming down hard. It isn't going to get started at all, because this rain isn't going to let up. 6th inning: Mobile 3, Huntsville 1 hardytheman, if you are still listening to the game and know what happened let us know. Sarfate must not have pitched terribly bad, I am guessing he isn't in there anymore cnonsidering how the Star's startes are averaging 4.1 innings per start. -

I tried, but I can't get this spaced right. I could try harder, but that would require effort. Yeah I couldn't get it to work either. Is there a trick or something? -
I noticed this hadn't been posted yet so I decided I'd do it. If someone could put a thread on it so it stayed at that top that would be appreciated. Man, it's been one ugly Indy line-up with the kid trio unavailable... Man now that we only have one prospect that'll play every day at Indy they won't be as fun to follow. Gosh, those two injuries are pretty huge I would say. Just our luck. -
